Missypie's Reviews of the Yacht Club (YC) and the Contemporary (CR) (long)

The BC is closer to Epcot, however the YC is closer to the boat launch for MGM. Either is fine really. I love the Yachtsman Steakhouse and even though it is a nice meal my three year old was fine there. They even had a Mickey Mouse white chocolate puzzle dessert that came with a paint brush and icing "paint" and a cupcake. It kept him busy while we enjoyed dessert.

Yes, the BC is closer to Epcot, but both are such a short walk that you'll be amazed!

Thanks for your reviews! We’ll be trying the CR for the first time this December (14th floor concierge), and I do have some concerns that it will look worn down. My desire to try it out has made me feel better about it though (it’s the only deluxe resort I’ve never stayed at). I totally agree with you about the YC vs. the BC. I prefer the décor and casual elegant ambience at the YC over the BC. Of course it’s just personal preference, but I just like it better. :)

The location is terrific. The pool and beach area is very nice. The concourse area is exciting. The rooms need to be refurbished, and that is scheduled. But I think that even when the refurbishment is done, it will feel even more like a "big city hotel" (although way elegant). I wish they were going for a little more playful elegance, like the Disneyland Hotel in California.

Missypie~ Thanks for sharing. We've stayed at the YC, BCV and CR. I really enjoyed them all. I felt they all had alittle something different to offer. My goal is to stay at all the WDW resorts.
