Mission Space, Compaq, and HP

I heard on the news today that the deal between compaq and HP will most likely fall through. HP's largest single shareholder has said he is against the merger and will discourage other shareholders to vote against the merger. Looks like compaq may be Mission Space's sponsor longer than we thought.

i saw that basically the descendants of the original Hewlett and Packard all are opposed to the deal. A bunch of them are on the board of HP no less. Most just plan to vote against it, but this last group said they will actively campaign against it.
