As she is at WDW with her oldest son and it's our first time apart in 14 years. A little back story about her trip. We married in 1996 and she had a son from her first marriage and he's grown to be a fine young man about to become a senior at UCONN School of Nursing and will study in Puerto Rico for his first semester.
Anyway, our first trip to WDW in 2003 included him and our two children from then we took more trips as our family grew but her son was unable to join us and still after we became DVC members he hasn't had the opportunity to join us.
My wife was able to narrow down a time for him to go and they have been at WDW since Sunday and are having a ball and I am taking care of our four children at home. My kids have been awesome the whole time. My daughter who is 10 and is my rose has told her Mom that she deserves this trip and she wants to make a cake for her Mom for when she comes home and we are going to make a great welcome home sign too.
As for me I love my wife so much:sad1: and am glad she was able to take this trip to reconnect with her son but I miss her so with all my heart :love:and will be waiting to have her in my arms when she comes home. CAN'T WAIT!!

Wow she should feel so honored to have a very loving husband. Just think when she gets home you will have so much to share with each other. Your thread made me cry. I am sure she misses you too.

 she'll be home soon.

 Just think how fun it will be when she comes home.

i saw the title of this thread and thought, now what kind of nonsense am i going to read.

dude, this is the nicest thing that i have read in a helluva long time. nicely stated and done. the world truly needs more like you. this would be a much better place.

Thank you for all the nice thoughts. What is really great about this week is how I am also being reconnected with my children. I work a 24 hour shift at the fire department so I am away most of the time but being home for nine days and just having my children to myself is wonderful.
Today for example I am taking my two year old to our local Aquarium then to lunch and this evening, thanks to my wonderful wife who gave us a gift card to a local restaurant we will enjoy a nice dinner all the while thinking of her.
I know she'll be home soon and she'll have plenty to talk about and, if I know her well enough she's going to plan for us to go to WDW next year.
I love her so much!!:love::love:

Awww, your OP was so sweet!! But so is this :goodvibes
Enjoy this week of quality time with your children! And your reunion with your wife after her trip!

I could so :love2: if there were no objections:blush:. That is so sweet that you honor your wife in all that you do. I am sure that your Mother must be beaming with pride:sunny: I know she must also feel very honored to be your DW and married to someone that cares and loves her as much as he does himself. There are not many marriages out here like that and I too think that you are so blessed:worship:. Keep up the great work, Marriage is not easy but when it's real love and works it's awesome:goodvibes

CAN'T WAIT!!

Bart Scott of the NY Jets will be in touch with you about using his "trademarked" phrase. Yes, he trademarked it. :lmao:

That being said, she will be home soon. I, too, hate being away from LOML. I know how you feel.

What a sweet post, Fireman. Your wife is very blessed, as no doubt you are blessed. Enjoy your alone time with your kids! :goodvibes

You are a good man :goodvibes

Sounds like you know how to count your blessings.

You've got a great situation going on there....keep up the good work.:thumbsup2

Now the thread would have been a lot more interesting if you reported that you were so upset with your DW that you took your kids to a local casino (at least one left in the car) and disappeared on a 12 hour gambling binge.;)

I guess you prefer warm and fuzzy to outrage and condemnation.;)

You are violating many man-laws with this post... ;)

Oh, you can only imagine how I was busted on by my brothers at the firehouse before I went off duty. And they all knew I had my kids to myself!!

What a great post, you are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family....I wish every person in the world could find the person that made them feel this way. :) You are an inspiration! :)

Thank you, but it's not about me it really is about my wife. Not only is she the Mother of our four children but she is a caregiver for her Father who suffers from dementia and is in a nursing home and she visits him every day and takes care of his financial matters as well. Her two sisters live out of state so it's on her to do it all and some days it takes its toll on her to the point of tears. So you can see she is well deserving of this trip to just relax and have fun with no worries at home.
I am the one who is blessed to be married to such a special lady and with the help of a very good friend in the UK I hope to make her upcoming birthday very, very special!!
