Hi all, silly question, but when trying to book a cabana for our Castaway Cay day, under Port Adventures you can see all the family beach cabanas (all sold out ) by number, but a few are missing, #13, #16, etc. Just out of curiosity, do these not show up because they're being refurbished, or is it because they're being held back from inventory for people who want to book them once on board the ship? Thanks!

There might be a variety of reasons why you do not see a cabana in inventory, but I am pretty sure it's not because they're holding them back so people can book them once on board!

Oh well, a girl can dream! ;-) I'd heard so much about Palo brunch slots being held back that I thought maybe....

Thanks!

Do not give up and check at least once EVERY DAY. We didn't get an opening to book (we were gold at the time) until only about a month before our cruise, when suddenly there was one online. Turns out it was the wrong number, because they were renumbering them, but it let me book it and we were thrilled. So don't give up -- you never know. People cancel for various reasons. Good luck.

Just keep checking you never know when someone will cancel their cabana reservation! Last year when we cruised there were 2 cabanas that showed up as available about a month out. Keep on the look out and good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. Just another question. When you're looking at that long list of Castaway Cay activities and the cabanas are all grayed out at the bottom, will an available cabana show up at the top with the other available activities, or with the other cabanas at the bottom? In other words, are they grouped together or grouped by available at the top and unavailable at the bottom? Does that make sense?

Available cabanas will be listed at the top with other available activities.

An available Cabana should show up at the top with other activities, not at the bottom with the grayed out ones. The available activities are in alphabetical order from what I can remember.

I don't think there is a number 13 cabana. And I believe 16 is held back in case someone from Concierge wants it once they get onboard (but couldn't get it during the check-in window). I'm guessing if no one wants it, it goes to the first person on the waitlist (that was how we got it, but it was before they started allowing you to book online).
