Missing contracts and UY?

I missed out on 3 contracts yesterday bc of communication break diwn with the agent!!!! (so frustrating!). I have sent an email in regards to 7 contracts this morning.

When I was originally going to buy direct the guide said we needed a UY of march or October. We plan to travel mainly in October or November, and secondary times would be December and April.

Would a September UY be ok for these tine frames?

Also, any tips for trying to actually buy one if these contracts? I kept trying to get someone to respond to email or a phone call and couldn't get anyone!
Finally at 4pm when I did, all 3 contracts I wanted were sold! This was using two of the three recommended resale brokers! I sent my email at 7:30am, so maybe I'll get lucky today!

I would NEVER rely on email if I wanted to buy a resale contract. NEVER !
Always call and speak with anyone that answers and tell them what you want. They want to sell..... that's how they make they money.

I've purchased two resale contracts. One through TSS and one through Fidelity and EVERY time I've called, I've spoken to somebody that knew what they were doing.

If they are too busy to answer the phone, they are certainly WAY too busy to respond to an email requesting additional info on SEVEN contracts.

You have to remember that, despite being called "The BIG Three" most of these brokers only have one or two agents who handle DVC. You're really dealing with Mom and Pop operations most of the time, and they are swamped with people who are buying, paying deposits, executing documents, etc on actual sales. In this environment, you are going to have to stay after them.

(Incidentally, I have NOT had this problem with TTS, even during this busy time. They have a larger staff and have been very responsive whenever I've needed anything from them.)

CALL THEM until you get them. If you can't reach the two you've been trying to contact, call the other respected broker.

But when you call, you'd really better be ready to pull the trigger on ONE contract. If you just gather info, by the time you get them again that contract will be gone.

This is especially true right now.
We've seen examples right here on the boards - one Diser is on hold, while at the same time another Diser is on the phone with a broker buying it!

Right now resalers are SWAMPED I agree speak to someone! I was really surprised last week I called on 4 resales (figuring maybe 1 would be available) and ALL were available! 3 were loaded SSR contracts. The listings were for 120 - 160 point contract and all were priced under 66.00 pp. Fidelty had the listings.

That was true then ,but now it's crunch time for a lot of these resales ,since we're only 10 days from 3/20. Every step i''ve made on a resale addon i'm doing now i've called Sharon @ Fidelity and if shes busy has always gotten back to me within 30-45 minutes.

When we bought our first resale thru TTS i initiated with Jerry on an e-mail and he called me back pronto ,,,But i agree people now that if you want something NOW!!! call. or it's probavbly gone.
