Missed out on DDP...

Originally, we were planning to do our trip during the summer. However, plans changed, and now we are going the first week of March. And I am so frustrated that I missed out on the dates to book the free dining plan! The last day to book the DDP was in December, and we totally missed the deadline. I'm assuming that there is no way that we can still get that for the dates that we are there...

Once the promotion ends, it's gone. You can't get them to go back and book a promo for you that has ended. It would be nice if you could do that though. Then everybody could always be guaranteed a discount or free dining.

or at least try some yum-O offsite restaurants....

you might enjoy not being tied down to ressies.

fyi...they are offering a spring room only discount right now during that time frame. It's better than nothing...

I have 2 clients that will be there that week, what they have w/FD works out better for them, but depending on what resort you stay at the RO might be better.

Honestly, with "free" dining, you have to pay regular rack rate for your room. See if there are any discounts out there for the room. We have priced out free dining and since you are paying full price for the room, sometimes it works out if you can get a discount on your room.

I looked at the free dining plan and worked up the rates for 3 of us back in early Dec. (2A and 1C). I don't remember off-hand exactly what the prices were, but didn't end up booking because I wasn't sure. I got on yesterday and checked just the resort rates for the week we would be going, and the room alone is as much as the package I could have booked with free dining and 2 day tickets.

I was looking to check-in on March 29 for 8 nights which goes into Easter week. The rates at the value resorts right now are $179! There are absolutely no discounts for that week, so we would be paying almost $200 for a value resort? Not on your best day! If you added dining and tickets for that price, that makes more sense.

the new buy 3 get 1 free offer is for that time period, as well. I believe that offer has a max of 7 nights, though.

Oh - sorry to hear the room rates are so expensive. We checked in to Pop the day after Thanksgiving and paid regular price $125.00. Friday night the discounted rate was $88.00 and Saturday, Sunday and Monday we paid $66.00 per night. I had looked into free dining and paying the discounted rate of $66.00 worked out better then free dining for us.

You should be able to get a 15% discount for the 29th and 30th. After that, the dates are blacked out.

Have you considered staying off-site? You could get a 3 bedroom condo with a pool, clubhouse, washer/dryer, full kitchen and a dining room just three minutes from the gate for almost half that price.

The problem is the holiday and there are no discounts. No big deal, we won't be doing WDW anyways which is why I didn't originally book it. I was shocked to see the value resorts so expensive. We've never paid more than $75 for one.

No....The closest we would come to staying off property is Bonnet Creek. We've stayed there many times and really liked it. We'll do the 7 night Magic cruise instead. WDW at Easter is just too busy. If we were going to stay on property, I'd borrow our DVC points from next year.
