Missed banking deadline

I just realized that today is August 1 and our banking deadline was yesterday. Do I have any chance of banking the points if I call tomorrow?

Yes, but be sure it's worth it.

There is a super-secret, one-time banking deadline magic thing that can happen. Don't try it for a handful of points that won't matter anyway, but if it's a bunch of points call and ask for help.

(If you call and demand, it just doesn't exist...sorry.)

Why? If they let everyone ignore or miss the banking deadline, there would be no need for the banking deadline. And if they let everyone carryover points that should have expired, it makes it harder on you and me to get our reservations because there are more points out there than there should be.

I think everyone gets a one time only chance to bank points late for any reason. However, the CMs at MS have can make the decision to approve or disapprove. So would it make more sense to demand that you get the one time banking privilege or to ask nicely?

If you look at the POS or Home Resort Rules and Regulations there are no exceptions to the date you have to bank by. So it's a judgement call as to whether an exception should be made. And like Deb (Deb & Bill) says if the banking deadline was always ignored then it would impact us all.

I took Crystal's post differently. I read it, given the "hugs" emoticon, as a message of sympathy to the OP: "Sorry to hear you missed the deadline. Hugs to you and I hope it turns out well."

I don't think Crystal was commenting on the "one time" grace policy.

I was just going to post this exact question! I realized TODAY, at least the OP realized the day after- it took me 5 days! I was hoping there was a one time reprieve, I assume I would have to call today though, next week it might not work, if it even works today. Mine is for 125 points of 170, I assume that would be worth it.

I would love to know what they said!

Yes, they banked the points for me. I don't know if it was my one time super secret exception, but I asked nicely and they did it. They did remind me to call on time next year!

Friends of ours missed the deadline because they had cancelled and trip and lost track of what needed to be banked by when and the CM was very nice and banked them for them anyway.
