I did not mind our guests taking family pics with M&M. I was so over taking pictures. I wanted to mingle with our guests.

My cool nephew. There is a back story to this pic. He was taking one by himself and my grandma was talking to him and he closed his eyes or something. He walked away pretty bummed because he thought the picture was going to turn out ugly. I saw him sitting down crying because he was so worried. I didn't know all this and I asked a family member what was going on. She doesn't like him, (she is jealous because my grandparents are raising him and she feels like they don't do enough for her child, its just so stupid, his mom was not capable of taking care of him properly) She goes on to say that he is just acting like a brat, like always. This pissed me off, he is not a brat. My nephew and I are close. I went up to him and asked him what was wrong. He told me, and I tried to explain that Randy takes a bunch of photos and they would not all come out with his eyes closed. He didn't understand, so I told him that I don't like to see him sad and I took him over to take another pic with M&M. He was soooooo happy.

The wedding was pretty much ending at this time. I said bye to Stan and Randy. Again they were so great to work with. I think I might try to book Randy for an anniversary shoot. Then I said bye to Carol. I got a little emotional when I was talking to her. She is like the best wedding planner in the world. I told her how much I appreciated everything she did for us. I also gave her a gift and thanked her for always responding to my e-mails. (I always hear about brides waiting forever to get answers, but I never experienced that, she was always so quick to update my BEO) She is just one of the nicest people that I have ever met.

Then it was time to go and I got a little sad that it was all over. But I still had the dessert party to look forward too. Peter and I were just so happy to be married. We felt all giddy inside. All of our guests took the monorail back to their resort. But my grandparents and I loaded stuff up in their car and they dropped us off at BLT. When we got off at the resort we felt so special because of how nice everyone was. Everyone had such nice things to say, this is something that made our wedding day even more special.

I got out of my dress and we took a nap. You would think we would want to do more than that, but we were beyond tired. Up next the dessert party!!!!

Woo!!! You’re back!

-Awww you look so so happy to be with Mickey.
-And everyone else looks so happy too!
-I love how Minnie is covering her eyes while you and Peter kiss.
-BOO! WHAT THE HECK, PETER?!?
-And later on, it looks like they’re just watching you kiss and being creepers.
-The flowers kind of match Minnie’s dress and your color scheme!
-The Minnie twirling pictures are just precious.
-I still think I should have crashed your wedding in a Belle costume.
-GIGA PETS!!!!
-Love the couples kissing pictures too.
-Your grandparents seriously sound like amazing people, Melissa. And that is an ADORABLE shot of your nephew with Mickey and Minnie. Have you given him one?!?!
-Love the waving goodbye picture.
-I agree. Saying goodbye to these people is hard!!
-LOL NAPPING

Aww, the rest of your day was beautiful, Melissa!

And every word you said about Carol is so true--I absolutely love her! She's the best and I miss working with her!!!

I want to start out by saying that Peter and I had a blast at Disneyland! I wish we could have stayed longer. I am going to be in honest in this review and I will tell you guys right now, I suck at writing so this isn’t going to be a detailed review of every single thing that we did. I also did not take a bunch of pictures, we took some but I just wanted to enjoy everything and take it all in.

For anyone planning a trip to DL if your budget allows I really recommend staying at a Disney Resort. We stayed at a Hilton and it was kind of a long walk back. We have been spoiled by the transportation that is provided at WDW. It also did not feel as magical staying here and I know you girls will understand what I am saying. There is just something about staying on property that makes a stay feel more Disney like. It was also different seeing the outside world; I like being secluded from everything when I am on vacation. Peter and I decided that when we go back we will stay at the Disneyland Hotel, even if we have to starve for a year!

First, let me start out by saying that when we first walked into Disneyland we could not help but compare it to WDW. We did this for a good 15min then said we needed to stop because it would ruin our experience.

[/IMG]

The castle is sooooooooooooooo pretty!!!! Small, but pretty. I love the walk through of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, they really need to do something like this at WDW. Walking down Main Street was amazing! I love the feel of this and the smell of popcorn. This is probably one of my favorite parts of a Disney vacation. The park was kind of packed, and I felt a little overwhelmed. This was surprising to me because it was the afternoon on a Tuesday.

The first thing we did was eat; I turn into a crazy person when I am hungry. We ate at the Village Haus restaurant and the food was blah.

We did half of the park on this day, which included Frontierland, Critter Country, Adventureland. And New Orleans Square (which I think is soooooooooo pretty!) We did not ride every single ride in each land, we just rode the ones that were of interest to us. I would like to make a note here for anyone that plans on getting ridding Pirates of the Caribbean, there are 2 drops on this ride!!! The first one is small and the second one is bigger! I didn’t expect this at all. I think POTC is so much better here.

After we rode some things we went to eat at the Blue Bayou. This place had such a cool atmosphere. Peter really liked the lanterns. The service was excellent and so was the food, it was also pretty cool so see the little boats from POTC go by.

After dinner we went to wait for Fantasmic to start. I went to sleep while we were waiting. I was beyond tired. I also started to get a little cranky, Peter took this well though. We were sitting on the floor, he just held me and let me sleep. He woke me up when the show was about to start. He had suggested we just go back to the room, but I said no, I was going to see Fantasmic no matter what! It was so worth it. Fantasmic is like a million times better here!!!!! The pirate fight scene was so cool. Peter loved the show, he was like a child again, and his face was priceless when he saw the dragon.

DSC00692.jpg
[/IMG]

After the show we headed back to Main Street for the fireworks but they were canceled!!! :sad1: After this we headed back to our room.

/
It was raining this day so we took a cab over to the parks. We were dropped off at DTD and decided to eat at Rainforest Café. We both had a pizza. We probably could have shared a pizza but Peter wanted a BBQ pizza and I was not having that.

After that we headed over to California Adventure. I love, love, love, this park. I think I even like it more than Disneyland. It has a really cool feel to it. The rides in this park are so much fun. I LOVE THE LITTLE MERMAID RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We rode it a few times. I also really like that I was able to find Little Mermaid merchandise. I bought some shirts and a hoodie.

Our two favorite things during our trip were in this park. The first thing was the Sorcerer's Workshop. We walked in and watched the different clips of Disney movies. This was just such a cool experience. We were in awe. We danced to some of the songs here, and it didn’t matter that there were people around. Peter cried when the Up clip was played. We love to see things that have to do with the movies and hear the music when we are in the parks. We were here for about an hour, and then we did the walkthrough of it. We played the game at the Beast’s Library. I was most like Mulan. The first time Peter played he did not click male so he got Cinderella, the second time he was Flick.

We also really enjoyed the Aladdin show. Some of the genies’ jokes were kind of lame, but it was an overall great show to watch. I wish they would bring something like this to WDW or at least revamp the Beauty and the Beast show.
During the middle of the day we headed over to DTD. We shopped and Peter bought me a Dooney for my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something else that I like about DL is that everything is so close so you don’t spend lots of time on transportation. We went to DTD for an hour and just walked back to the park. OH!!!! FYI for anyone going when you leave a park and when you plan on returning make sure that you get stamped. We did not do this and the CM kinda made it a big deal.

My dooney!

[/IMG]

We ate at Ariel's Grotto and did the WOC package. This was a lot of fun. Our server was super nice. We both enjoyed our food, and the desserts were yummy. I even got a free birthday dessert!
The second thing that was our favorite during this trip was World of Color. Peter said it was his favorite Disney show ever. I still prefer Wishes, but this was a close second. We were right in the front and got kind of wet but it was ok because we had ponchos.

Something I didn’t anticipate was chilly weather. I packed sweaters but it was not enough. I really wanted to ride the Silly Symphony Swings, but it was cold and windy so I did not get to do this. After WOC we headed back to our room and went to sleep.

Yay, Disneyland! I've been to DL way more than DW, so it's always nice to see pictures. Though it certainly doesn't help the longing to go back to CA! (I spent most of my 20s out there)

Isn't New Orleans Square so awesome? I wish there was something similar in FL. Especially with the food. ;)

I love your pictures. Especially the CA Adventure ones. It's funny, I remember people complaining when it first opened... "why do we need a CA park? we're already here!" But I do think it has a completely different feel from DL.

The Ariel ride! Super jealous!

(I'm all over the place on this; I keep scrolling back to re-read, hence the comments not quite going in order of the posts :lmao:)

I can't wait to read more!

I'm so glad you had a great time!!! I can't wait to go back. I miss the Sorcerer's Workshop!! It was my favorite place!! I can't wait to read more!!

Yes New Orleans Square is awesome! There is somthing romantic about it!
CA does have a different feel, I just think it is more fun. Don't worry about being all over the place, I usually write like that also.

What's your fav ride at both parks? By the way I am super jealous that you got to spend so much time at the parks!

Thank you!!! And thanks for the advice you gave me to during the planning process. When are you planning on going back? I can't wait to read about your May trip! popcorn::

Love all the pictures!! It'll be my first time going to Disneyland for our Honey Moon next year and I should have stopped reading about Pirates because I didn't know that!! =( But maybe it's a good thing I know now about the drops haha. You're also freaking lucky!! Grottos will no longer be doing WOC dining option. UGH! So now we're stuck with Wine Country Tratattoria unless they come up with something else before next year, WHICH I REALLY HOPE!
Anyhow, can't wait to see more!

This was our last Disney day. We booked this trip at the spur of the moment so we did not get to stay to long.

We headed over to DL, we did not make it in time for the park opening, but we
didn’t care. The first thing that we rode was the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. For some reason this ride is way more fun under water.

Next we rode the Storybook Land Canal Boats, it was a cute little ride.

After this we had to head over for our Club 33 reservation. We were so excited and nervous. I think as a young couple we were a little nervous about whether or not we would be taken serious. I took a pack-back with me and changed my sandals to flats.
DSC00783.jpg
[/IMG]

It was so cool to press the little button. As soon as we pressed it we they asked for our reservation same and we were let in. It was so pretty inside. The lady that let us in seemed kinda blah. Peter and I were talking about everything and she just kept giving us strange looks. I even told her how excited we were to be there and she gave us a fake half smile. But whatever we were not going to let this ruin our time.

We were given the option of the elevator or stairs and of course we took the elevator. Once we were there we were greeted and shown to our table. We sat next to a window. It was super romantic and pretty inside. The servers were AMAZING. They made conversation with us and gave over the top customer service.

It was soooo good and it was just the beginning. Our main course was delicious. I mean it was like the best freaking mac and cheese I have ever had, and the chateaubriand was so flavorful. Peter also enjoyed his food.

After we ate our main courses we just sat and talked for awhile before we had dessert. I went to the bathroom, not because I had to go, but because it’s so pretty in pictures that I had to see it for myself. Peter and I got up for dessert and we tried a little of everything.

It was all so good, I have a major sweet tooth. After we finished eating all of our dessert they brought out even more dessert!!! This was such a nice surprise! I ate a little but we ended up taking it in a box.
DSC00802.jpg
[/IMG]

After this we paid, the meal was expensive but well worth it. If you guys ever get a chance to go, take it and enjoy it. Before we left we walked around and look at all of the art. Peter love all the Pirate stuff. If we had lots of $$$$ I would love to own some of it.

We walked by what I thought was a piano (sometimes I have my slow moments) but it was a harpsichord. The bartender gave us some information about it. He told us how it worked and what the difference between this and a piano was. I swear I felt so dumb. He also went on to tell us that Michael Jackson, Elton John, and numerous children had played it, and now Peter!

Then it was time to go. We were here for a little over 2 hours and time just flew by. We were so sad to leave.

As soon as we left we made our way to the bathroom and I changed. We headed back to fantasyland. We rode the teacups. I really love the feel of it here. I am a huge Alice fan and it was so cool to see the set-up. We also really enjoyed the Alice in Wonderland ride.

We went back to to fantasyland and rode Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Peter Pan's Flight, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Then it was time for Peter to use his fastpass for Indiana Jones. I did not want to ride this so I shopped.

Here are some pics of the walkthrough of the castle.

DSC00838.jpg

On this trip Peter was determined to buy me a Dumbo so we made our way to the stores to pick one out. The back story to this is that I had a blue elephant when I was little and it was like the only toy I had. This took place when I lived with my mom and she never really did anything for me. I took this elephant everywhere. Peter said we were not leaving until I got one. After this we shared a Mickey pretzel and headed back to the hotel.
DSC00840.jpg

I was super tired and still had to pack. We were sad to leave. We stood at the end of Main-street for awhile, kissed and said good-bye to the park.

So I know I've seen most of these pictures and stuff, but I am popping in anyway. The food at Club 33 looks AMAZING!!!!! Srsly. Mmmmm!

You are making me desperately want to go to DL. I want to go on IASW and the Nemo Subs and and and everything else. Those teacups ARE gorgeous: so much prettier than WDW's.

Also, you have the sweetest husband ever. Did you get your Dumbo?!

I LOVE the Indiana Jones ride. The Dinosaur ride at AK, even though I know it's the same type of ride, just doesn't cut it for me. Also PotC is so much better there. As for California Adventure, Soarin' had always been must-do there.

And you've probably been to DW way more than I have! This next trip will be my third visit, and Doug's second. :goodvibes

So, it's been so long since I've rode IASW, I completely forgot there were Disney characters in DL's. :lmao: The song is just too much, so I've avoided it probably for a decade now. :rolleyes1

Your food looks super yummy at Club 33! And that pretty artwork! Let's just state for the record - I'm super jealous!

I was too scared to ride Indiana Jones!!! Peter said I could have handled it though. The dinosaur ride really freaks me out!

I LOVE ITS A SMALL WORLD!!! :hyper: Peter and I could sing that song all day! But I can see how it get annoying after awhile.

Are you excited for your next WDW trip? What are your fav rides there? I hope you write a TR so I can read all about it! :yay:

So now that my DL TR is over I need to get on the ball with my wedding/honeymoon TR. Be on the look out guys! ::yes::

Melissa,

I just got caught up and have really enjoyed reading your PJ. Your hubby is so sweet and you guys are adorable. Congrats on being a wife and having a beautiful wedding. I would like to say that I could slap DH's Aunt for the things she said and did but aside from that it was wonderful. She cannot take away the magic that you two shared. Your wedding was stunning and everything came out so prettyyyyy!!!!!!!
