Miss Kathy and Me take on Disney--Update 5/23-- Must Do's -- Epcot -- Mary

Nice must do's Ms Kathy. I think you forgot one of your Must Nots though......There's a...

Here are Avery's

BTMR
Space-we can wait until Sun and have Heather take them
Peoplemover
Under the Sea

She does not want to see Stitch. They did have a cute interaction last year though

Cayley's

BTMR
Space
HM
Barnstormer

No Stitch for her either

Mary's

BTMR
Splash
HM
Peoplemover
Pooh
New show before Wishes

I am also not a fan of Stitch, Space would put me in traction for a week. I would be just fine not seeing the MSE Parade-friends will probably want to but they may be on their own ha ha

We had a good weekend...no rain. We mulched, weeded, etc.

I'm glad to hear you didn't have bad weather. I was at Wrigley on Friday and it was FREEEZING and COLD and...whaddaya know...they lost! :confused3

We must coordinate! Slushie or not...I would love to meet you in person! :thumbsup2 We will have to exchange information when it gets closer!!! :woohoo:

Kathy looks like BTMR is a must do for the girls!

I'm with you, Stitch I can pass up. Like my DH said last year, "I waited in this line for the show to have someone belch in my face?" That's all he remembers! :p

I'm partial to HM, PoTC as well and PEOPLE MOVER!!! Glad to see you are a fan as well!

Awwww... wishing your daddy could see your son get married too.

Nice list of MK must-do's Kathy.

I'm with ya on Space Mountain. I really dislike having my internal organs relocated while riding! It's just too jerky though my girls love it. I'll just make DH go on with them while I wait.

Still no love for IASW?:( It's ok, I still love you. My girlies adore that ride and no trip would be complete without riding it. I see I have a hard job ahead of me...convince Kathy to 1. love Stitch (the character, not the ride) 2. love IASW and 3. love Carousel of Progress. I'm confident I can accomplish all three, maybe.

That girls trip is creeping up on you fast! You're one busy bee this summer!!!:goodvibes

Great seeing all your Must Dos

I would have to do Space though; although the older I get the rougher the ride gets - strange that isn't it . ;)

great must do list.....I can do space a couple times at the most, never done Stitch, but did Alien and it freaked me out! no boat ride :confused3 we usually ride it, just for a nice break!

Space Mountain gives me such a headache! I do IASW when I have to, but if I were by myself, I would not do it; I can get a break in Hall of Presidents or something. ;)

Know your daddy will be shining down on Mark and Alisha on their wedding day :goodvibes

Thank you...I know he will.

Nice “Do” list.

Thanks, Rob.

You need to add the Space Ranger Spin.
I can just see y’all twirling ‘round and ‘round on that one
(and I want pictures) :lmao:

I'm confused? The Space Ranger Spin? What is that?

The Laugh Floor is also fun. I hope some day to be: “That guy…”

It's one of those if I've seen it once, it's enough.

We also add the Jungle Cruise. Yah it’s outdated and the jokes are stunningly awful, but it does have one thing going for it…

I like the Jungle Cruise, just not a must do for me.

The jokes are stunningly awful!
I mean seriously, how can you resist that. :rotfl2:

The jokes are awful...but you can't help but laugh.

I’d also be moving SM back on the "do" side of the list myself, but I agree that Stitch is a waste and I also agree with the absence of any mention of Splash Mtn. I’ll make some folks mad, but that one does nothing for me.

I love the whole aspect of SM...but not the headache I get. They need to dismantle Stich and replace it with something.

Nice must do's Ms Kathy. I think you forgot one of your Must Nots though......There's a...

Oh yes...I forgot the Carousel of Boredom. :rotfl::rotfl:

It definitely works for me not having to see Stitch.

And I agree with the new show before Wishes...it's awesome!

I'm glad to hear you didn't have bad weather. I was at Wrigley on Friday and it was FREEEZING and COLD and...whaddaya know...they lost! :confused3

I do not think we will see a winning team in my lifetime. :(

We must coordinate! Slushie or not...I would love to meet you in person! :thumbsup2 We will have to exchange information when it gets closer!!! :woohoo:

We will definitely work something out when we get a little closer.

Love that show! I think the newer version is much better than the original. :thumbsup2

I agree with you, Andy.

Kathy looks like BTMR is a must do for the girls!

Did I miss that on my list? I love BTMR.

I'm with you, Stitch I can pass up. Like my DH said last year, "I waited in this line for the show to have someone belch in my face?" That's all he

DH is a smart man.

I'm partial to HM, PoTC as well and PEOPLE MOVER!!! Glad to see you are a fan as well!

Love all three of them.

Awwww... wishing your daddy could see your son get married too.

As Lisa said above, he will be shining a light on them that day. And the kids have arranged a little tribute for him and Mark's mom and Alisha's grandfather.

Nice list of MK must-do's Kathy.

Thanks, Molly.

I'm with ya on Space Mountain. I really dislike having my internal organs relocated while riding! It's just too jerky though my girls love it. I'll just make DH go on with them while I wait.

If it just weren't so jerky, I could probably handle it a bit better.

Still no love for IASW?:( It's ok, I still love you. My girlies adore that ride and no trip would be complete without riding it. I love you my friend, but it ain't going to happen!

That girls trip is creeping up on you fast! You're one busy bee this summer!!!:goodvibes

Four weeks from right now, we will be having an adult beverage before going to sleep for the night to move to our new resort the next day.

Great seeing all your Must Dos

I would have to do Space though; although the older I get the rougher the ride gets - strange that isn't it . ;)

Thanks, Linda. That's my problem...I've gotten too old.

This is our Studios Day. I have to say that the Studios is my LEAST favorite park of the four. I only have a couple of Must Do's.

Must Do's:

Tower of Terror
Toy Story Mania
Beauty & The Beast Show (if time permits)
Writer's shop for cappuccino
One Man's Dream
Muppet's

MUST NOT'S:

Rock & Roller Coaster
Backstage Tour

On the Fence:

Star Tours...I felt really ill after riding it last year

Now, I have a confession to make. For those of you who have been with me for awhile, you might remember the TR where "Cayley lost her mind." She had decided to ride Space Mountain and announced to all of us that she'd lost her mind. It was hysterical. Well, I am NOW Cayley. I've totally lost my mind. I told Mary while we were texting the other day that I would ride Rock & Roll Roller Coaster with Avery. It seems the friends that are going to be with us part of the trip, won't be there on the Studios day and Avery would not be able to ride Rock & Roll. She was a little upset about this, so Miss Kathy promised her. I may need to run over to Epcot and have several Grand Mariner Slushes after that.

You may want to have a couple of those before you ride RnRc, if you know what I mean. :lmao:

Actually the coaster is not all that bad. But then again I am a huge coaster fanatic with Cedar Point only a couple of hours away from me. ;)

Just another thing we disagree about.

Rock & Roller Coaster
That's just wrong.:crazy2:

Ok, I can look past the Must Not list now. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Aside from that start, it is a pretty smooth coaster. Just keep your head back and hang on!

Oh sister, I'm right there with you regarding Hollywood Studios. I do love the theming but overall, this park is my 4th favorite.

Love the must-do's once again! I avoid Star Tours like the plague for the same reason...last time I rode, I felt icky for awhile. Simulator type rides just do not agree with my motion sickness!:lmao: I'd skip it too, though you could maybe just walk through the queue with the girls and take the chicken exit while they ride.

My DH loves the backlot tour! I don't understand that man at all.:crazy2: He really loves the catastrophe canyon part.

I love the One Man's Dream exhibit! Definitely a must-do.:thumbsup2 Now if only you had a Starbucks in hand while you stroll through it, right?

Rockin' Roller Coaster isn't so bad. It's actually one of the smoothest rides at Disney! And it's a quick ride too. I think you'll survive, especially if you're full of Grand Marnier slushies.:thumbsup2

The Buzz Lightyear “Arcade” ride…

As for HS,
It could use some serious upgrades to be sure.
You might want to consider “Light’s Motors Action” once before they take that one out.
The other thing we never miss is the Indiana Jones Show. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but we just enjoy that one.

Myself… I have to do the RnRRC. It’s a moral imperative.
Get ya’ a slushie or six and give it a try.

I actually don’t mind ToT even though I HATE free-falls. For some reason, the Tower doesn’t bother me. Don’t know if it’s related to the darkness or because the descents are powered rather then being true freefalls, but I road that one with my boy when he was younger (because I promised I’d do it), and it was much better then I expected. Been riding it since (so long as the lines aren’t crazy… I’ll ride it, but I won’t wait for it).

I need to try the new Star tours though, but I get the motion simulator problem.
My DW has a similar issue with such.

well its official the girls do have you wrapped around their little fingers, if you are willing to ride Rock & Roll with Avery!

what about Animator's, we love this!

sure if DHS puts in Cars Land the park will become a favorite for many more people!

Ha ha! Kathy I see that you don't mind being dropped 10 stories in an elevator but you draw the line at being launched upside down on RnRC!! :lmao: However, it sounds like if this ends up being on your ride list you have the remedy with a slushie from Epcot! Well played!

You need to hit the tune-in bar and have a dad's lemonade. Why travel all the way to Epcot? :rotfl:

You are a good friend. What day are you at HS. I think I am at AK that day or I would take one for the team and ride with her. I do like that ride, but I can't be in the back of the train. Too much Rock with the roll.

I'm honestly not sure if we are even going to HS this trip. Our time is so limited since we are going to Daytona and I really want to hit a water park one day. Somethings got to give.

I hope you try Rock n Roller coaster! I find it way tamer than Expedition Everest. You never know, you might enjoy it. ;)

Just stopping by to wish you a Happy Mother's Day! :)
