Miss Kathy and Me take on Disney--Update 5/23-- Must Do's -- Epcot -- Mary

I like your changes. I've planned to have lunch arrival day at DTD each and every time I go, but it just never works out. I am just too impatient to get to a park. I am thinking of trying to get a Tony's ADR this trip too!

So Ms Kathy....What do we talk about now??? Hmmm You did such a great job of talking about all our Park plans now we have a month left and....

I can't believe it is coming so quickly!

Absolutely amazing for her first time out, she is hugely talented! Congrats to both girls, amazing and exciting.

Are you friends with Mary on FB? She posted a video of Cayley...I was so impressed.

You had me at

Raglan

and

Baileys Shake (need to try one of those!)

::yes::::yes:: you do! What do you think will happen if I have a Baileys shake and then get a Turtle Crawl when we get back to OKW for our one night? I'm thinking it will at least help me go to sleep faster. :rotfl:

You could just do a TR for August, wait and play it by year maybe? You can't NOT do anything though...that is not an option. LOL!

Might be a good idea; or I'll see how fast I get done with the mini April TR.

Yay for Disney next month!!!!

So excited!

oh good, I was like what :confused3 :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Sorry.

I ordered our MVMCP tickets today! so excited to see it all!

Have you ever done it? If not, you will love it.

I may be in the minority but I love Tony's Town Square! Especially when we get the adorably cute waiter Mark Anthony. ;) Tutto Italia hasn't been on my radar since they re-furb'd...just not in a hurry to return.

There's always another trip to do Tutto. That might be a good one to save for when we go with Mark and Alisha because Alisha is a pickier eater than me and she does like pasta.

Baileys Shake >>> :dance3: (Ok, that may be the alcohol talking but still...)

I'm exactly like that when I have one. :rotfl2:

Such fun stuff coming up!!

Yes, there is.

I LOVE tony's!!!
it so MUCH FUN!!! im reading along and so excited for you guys!!! :cool1:

I'm looking forward to going back to Tony's after all these years.

Thanks, Mo!

Nice ADR changes. Denny and I are eating at Reglan Rd too! :thumbsup2

Have you ever eaten there before, Mary Ellen? Mark and I have been twice now and enjoyed both times. Mark swears by the bread pudding...but it is huge.

We usually get in too late to make it to a park our first day or we take such an early flight that we need a rest beforehand. :rotfl2: I think your DS would like the atmosphere at Tony's.

So Ms Kathy....What do we talk about now??? Hmmm You did such a great job of talking about all our Park plans now we have a month left and....

Well, we could do: how many times will Kathy have to feign illness? How many times will the girls make Kathy go down the slide (the answer to that will be 0 though)?

We could also do a "must do" for each park for each of us.

I guess I should have slowed this down a tad. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am sooooo behind with everyone's TRs and PTRs

Urrgh - work gets in the way of DIS time! ;)

So close to your trip now!

If you can't remember what day you are going to Epcot, you best stay away from the slushies. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I love the Grand Mariner one (Mary prefers the Grey Goose, I think).

Isn't it a lovely day/ Too bad it turns miserable tomorrow through Sunday. :furious:

Guess it is mroe spring cleaning for me this weekend.

Hahahah!! You're right about that!! :rotfl::rotfl: I have officially referred to my itinerary and confirmed that my Epcot day is June 6th. Now can I have my slushie...?? :rotfl2:

I decided spending a miserable weekend (weather-wise) inside reading the DIS was much better than spring cleaning... :upsidedow

Linda, no worries at all; I am behind again myself.

30 days (I'm not counting today since it is almost over); and only 38 days until the wedding.

We will have to coordinate and see if we are in the same park on the same day so we can at least say hello.

We had a good weekend...no rain. We mulched, weeded, etc.

Just checking in. Hope you ladies are having a good weekend!!! :goodvibes

Hi there, Goofy It was a busy, but productive weekend. I did my chores and did some research for the kids on their honeymoon excursions. Hope you had a good weekend too.

Have you ever eaten there before, Mary Ellen? Mark and I have been twice now and enjoyed both times. Mark swears by the bread pudding...but it is huge.

I ate there on one of my girl's trips, but Denny hasn't. I think he will enjoy it. Plus I want to be in the main dining room this time.

Well, since I got this done a lot faster than I thought (I was afraid I'd not get it done in time while still doing my TR and getting ready for the wedding), I've decided too some must do's for each park. Hopefully, Mary will stop by and do hers and the girls too:

Must Do:

Big Thunder
Under the Sea
Dumbo
Pirates
Haunted Mansion
Winnie the Pooh
Buzz
Mickey's Philharmagic
People Mover

Must Not:

Space Mountain ( but I will if the girls insist)
Stitch
It's a Small Boat to China

Must also have one box of popcorn. :goodvibes

I also wanted to say HAPPY 87th BIRTHDAY, Daddy. I love you and miss you every day. I wish you were here to see your grandson get married, but I know you are smiling up above at his choice of a bride.

I think you are right that Denny will like it. Mark suggests the Kilkenny Red beer...says it is excellent.

I think those are some good must do's... and I don't blame you for the must nots. ;)

I have to say that Stitch's Great Escape is on my permanent 'must not' list. I cannot foresee DD letting me skip IASW though. She dearly loves that ride. :confused3

Wait... You're still doing your TR too??? I thought you were done??? Yikes - I haven't been in the TR section in ages... I will try to stop by today. :rolleyes1

Great list Kathy... The only Must Do I think you are missing is Splash. :thumbsup2

I am right there with you for the Must Nots... Can't do Space Mtn either - love coasters, can't stand dark coasters though...

I hope Mark is feeling better.

That's a pretty darn good list!

Especially the must not of Stitch.

Agree with all the musts.

Disagree with Space Mountain.

I agree, in principle, with the boat ride. Yet still always seem to have to ride it anyway.

I couldn't possibly agree any more with Stitch. Did it once. I'm good. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Thanks, Ann. There are a few I left off...but I got the important ones on the list.

I have to say that Stitch's Great Escape is on my permanent 'must not' list. I cannot foresee DD letting me skip IASW though. She dearly loves that ride. :confused3

That ride is just so disgusting. Hopefully, DD will otugrow her love of IASW! :rotfl::rotfl:

Wait... You're still doing your TR too??? I thought you were done??? Yikes - I haven't been in the TR section in ages... I will try to stop by today. :rolleyes1

D, I'm doing an addition to the December TR of our short trip in April. It won't go on much longer.

Great list Kathy... The only Must Do I think you are missing is Splash. :thumbsup2

I forgot all about Splash Mountain. That definitely goes on the not to be missed list

I am right there with you for the Must Nots... Can't do Space Mtn either - love coasters, can't stand dark coasters though...

The dark doesn't bother me, it's the jerkiness of the ride.

I hope Mark is feeling better.

D~

Still coughing, but he feels much better. He survived his two games on Sunday, and has a game tonight, tomorrow, Thursday and then 6 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday...weather permitting.

Where is Peter Pan on that list?!?!?

so excited your going in no time at all!!!

Peter Pan is NOT a must do. If there is no line or a "short" line, I'll do it. It's a classic, I know, but not worth a 60 minute wait in my opinion.

Yes, it is coming really fast.

That's a pretty darn good list!

Especially the must not of Stitch.

Thanks, Cynthia. I really hate that ride and I'm not fond of him as a character either. ;)

Agree with all the musts.

That is good to hear.

Disagree with Space Mountain.

When you reach my age, you might feel differently. :rotfl::rotfl:

I agree, in principle, with the boat ride. Yet still always seem to have to ride it anyway.

I do it ONCE each trip for Mark just so he doesn't get "grumpy".

I couldn't possibly agree any more with Stitch. Did it once. I'm good. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Seriously, it was bad enough when it was the Alien; it got no better changing it to Stitch.

great must do list.....I can do space a couple times at the most, never done Stitch, but did Alien and it freaked me out! no boat ride :confused3 we usually ride it, just for a nice break!

Know your daddy will be shining down on Mark and Alisha on their wedding day :goodvibes

Nice “Do” list.

You need to add the Space Ranger Spin.
I can just see y’all twirling ‘round and ‘round on that one
(and I want pictures) :lmao:

The Laugh Floor is also fun. I hope some day to be: “That guy…”

We also add the Jungle Cruise. Yah it’s outdated and the jokes are stunningly awful, but it does have one thing going for it…

The jokes are stunningly awful!
I mean seriously, how can you resist that. :rotfl2:

I’d also be moving SM back on the "do" side of the list myself, but I agree that Stitch is a waste and I also agree with the absence of any mention of Splash Mtn. I’ll make some folks mad, but that one does nothing for me.
