Well about me: I am a full time college student studying criminal justice and early childhood education. I live in the state of wisconsin with three seasons, Snow, SUN and Road work. I live with two crazy cats and a hamster. Right now, I teach 6 weeks- 5 years in a daycare center everyday. This is a 40+ hour job and then I have 20+ hours of homework so theres not alot of free time for weightloss but Im commited to loosing. I love my job which allows me time to run around with the kids in the summer (AKA weightloss) and swim (more weightloss) but then I need to be careful because i am extremly sun sensitive.

Ok curently:
I am 130 pounds, mostly stored in my thunder thighs and belly.

My goal:
100, or 105 somewere in that range in 26 weeks (aug. 30 my 25th b-day).

My incentive for getting to my goal:
Disney I hope

How Im getting there:
1. Walking 2 miles a day to work
2. Asking lots of questions to find a better diet
3. More water, less soda
4. Finding a acountability buddy.

So today is Febuary 26 and my calorie intake is:
Calories 1,096
Fat 47 %
Saturated 22 %
Polyunsaturated 5 %
Monounsaturated 15 %
Carbohydrate 32 %
Dietary Fiber 8.0 Grams
Protein 21 %

Day in review:
Wow, I eat a ton of fat. I need more exercize. If I cut out some fat I bet I would loose weight.

Goal for tommrow:
LESS FAT!! No soda at all! 64 ozs of water.

Questions for today:
1. Any ideas on SIMPLE (aka microwave) recipies?
2.Also what tastes good and DOSENT contain as much fat?
3. How do you find out how many calories does one burn a day?

Hi Jenny! Welcome to WISH! :welcome:

I was looking at your food for the day, and I noticed a couple things. You are eating a lot of carbs, and not the good kind (whole grain bread, oatmeal, etc)... Also, I didn't see any fruits or vegetables, besides tomato soup and applesauce, both of which are processed foods.

Some good ideas for snacks are string cheese, cottage cheese, apple w/peanut butter, carrot or celery with hummus, and sugar-free Jello.

My advice (and I am by no means an "expert", but I have read a ton about nutrition) is to incorporate more fresh foods into your diet. Don't be afraid to try new things, you might be surprised at what you like!

And keep up the good work, I know what it's like to work and go to school. :upsidedow It's worth it in the end, and it's only temporary. :goodvibes
