It's been another magical week for us! On Monday, the girls received two very 'princessy' packages--one from Kendra and another from Angela from Ollie Girl! Boutique. These fairy godmothers outdid themselves making the most adorable princess gowns--and they all fit perfectly!
It wasn't particularly nice outside on Monday (kind of grey and overcast) but the girls wanted to go outside, so we decided to open the parcels on the trampoline. Fair warning: Lots of bouncy camera shots!
Brooke opened Kendra's (no disname, I'm afraid) package first. Inside, two gorgeous gowns--and one that Brooke just kept shrieking about it! For Brooke, a bright yellow, shimmery ballgown à la Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Gorgeous! It has a jewelled brooch button and little jewelled bits all over the skirt and fits like a dream. It is wonderful and, not surprisingly, Brooke wanted to try it on immediately! I told her let's look at everything first and then she could try it on after.
For Avery--a sweet little Minnie Mouse knot dress in red, black and white polka-dots and an appliquéd head on the apron. I love knot dresses--and this one is just so darned cute!! So adorable!! As soon as she saw her sister trying to strip off her clothes on the trampoline, Avie was yanking at her t-shirt, too! She loved the dress--and so do I!
Thank you so much, Kendra. These are amazing dresses! Please know that the girls will definitely be wearing them to one of the princess activities we have planned on our trip! After all, they have to be appropriately dressed for their audiences with Disney royalty!
The next package was from Angela of Ollie Girl! Boutique and it contained more ballgowns for my little princesses!
For Avery, a beautiful replica of Cinderella's pink ribbon dress (the dress she makes with the help of her mice and bird friends to attend the ball). It is soooo special and looks just like Cindy's first ballgown! And, it came with a matching little pink ribbon headband. Perfect!
For Brooke--another shriek!--Cinderella's blue and silver ballgown! Like Avie's, the dress is a sundress so completely comfortable for real-life wear, but--oh!--it looks just like the real thing! Brooke's also came with a blue headband--just like Cindy wears to the ball.
And to top it off--two little star-shaped wands! I think this was Avie's favourite part of the packages! LOL!! She kept wandering around with the wand and even took it in the bath that night.
Thank you so much, Angela. These are simply beautiful--and so soft. Brooke was in heaven with these dresses--even oogling Avie's little ribbon dress and kept saying that Avie had Cinderella's 'ruined ballgown' and she had Cinderella's 'Prince Charming dress!'
The attention to detail that both BigGivers put into these gowns is amazing. They are truly spectacular and the girls love them! Not only will they wear them with pride on our trip, but they will get tons of use out of them just wearing them day-in and day-out with dress-up and everday wear. Now, my girls have wardrobes truly befitting their honourary princess status! Thank you so much!
But--that was just Monday! We received another package notice from the post office yesterday, but the post office had just closed by the time I got home so I'll have to pick it up today. And--we received a little brochure from GKTW yesterday, as well! (I'm not certain if this is the same as the 'official' GKTW package that others have mentioned, but it was still very exciting!) I haven't told Pas all about GKTW yet (I want to keep some surprises for him!) so he enjoyed reading through the brochure.
And...finally---BROOKE'S WISH DAY IS TOMORROW!!!! Yeah! It seems we've waited so long for it! I can't wait! Tomorrow afternoon, our wish granters, Ann and Laura will be coming over, joined by 3 other MAW reps and the gentleman who is sponsoring Brooke's wish. I can't wait to meet this man--and thank him in person. I hope I can get through the celebration without bawling like a baby! Better wear waterproof mascara just in case!
So, more news tomorrow night! I better clean the house....
