So, it feels like Christmas around here--every day we are at the window looking for the mailman! The girls just about go squiggly when they see the flag up on the mailbox or a delivery truck pull into the drive!
Since I had to pick up the two packages from last week today, I decided to wait until the mail had arrived in case I needed to go and pick up something else. Sure enough, two more notices!
I carried out four huge boxes from the post office. People must have thought I was nuts! I warned the post lady that there might be more in the weeks to come. When I explained that Brooke was going on her wish trip, she seemed excited for us and told us to have a great trip!
I'm always posting up more photos than I'm allowed, so I'll divide up the Big Give deets into two posts today. Here are the first two we opened up--I am presuming they were the ones that came in last week!
First up--a heavy box full of pixie dust from April (DISname: mommy2girlswv), her hubby and her two little cherubs--January and Kaitlyn! In it we found some colouring and sticker books (the 'Mermaids' book was a particular hit with Brooke!), some princess pens, princess socks, glowsticks, a luggage tag, a water bottle, some princess fruit snacks (which I don't think we have in Canada--they had never seen them and I had to pry the box away from the girls! They wanted to devour the whole thing right then and there! LOL!!), some Hawaiian punch singles and some colourful bandanas.
April explained that the bandanas were for attaching to the strollers to make them easier to identify after getting off a ride. What a great idea, mommy2girlswv! I hadn't even thought of that!! I will be sure to use them!
Thanks so much for all of the goodies! The girls adored poring over the box and finding all of the magical pixie dust hidden inside!
Next up was a package from LeAnn (Disname: Evsmama) and her charmer of a son, Evan. Inside were two adorable I-spy bags--an Ariel-themed one for Brooke and a Minnie Mouse one for Avie! The girls were just so intrigued by the bags or 'the shakers' as Brooke called them. I was so excited by them because I just love those bags. Avie wouldn't let go of hers as she just kept pushing on it and finding new treasures appear in the window. This will certainly keep them busy on the plane! (And, how ever did you print the legends on fabric like that, LeAnn?) They are wonderful.
There was also a package in that box for me! I handed the camera over to Brooke and amazingly enough, she actually got a few (terrible! My fault, not hers!) pics of me opening it up. Inside, a beautiful Minnie polka-dot tote! Perfect for lugging around the sunscreen and water bottles!
And, written on the outside of the little package was a note to be sure to look inside the bag....
Inside--my own little treasure! A little Mickey bling! So thoughtful and generous of you Evsmama and family! Really cute. I will wear it with pride throughout the trip!
Thank you again so much. We all love our little treasure bags!
Next up...more spoiling!
