:wave2: Hi we just got back a few days ago.

I am so glad you received the autograph books. I wanted to get them out before I went on vacation. I sent them UPS and while I was gone UPS called about the package. No one knew what is was so they had it sent back to my work. Luckily one of my coworkers figured it out and resent it for me.

So long story short I am just glad they arrived:lmao:

I also received something in the mail today. Thank you so much for the cute thankyou card. DD loved the baby mermaid:goodvibes

The girls look so thrilled with all of their packages!
I'm enjoying all of your updates.

Your itinerary looks good - hope you get to see all you hope to. What is the Pirate Shamu party? (Maybe I misread that...)

Hi everyone,

My apologies for being absent for the past week. We just got back from a week at Wasaga Beach (the world's largest freshwater beach). It was the trip we planned last summer but had to cancel due to Brooke's chemo treatments. Luckily, the gentleman we rented the cottage from last summer was completely understanding and refunded us the deposit--and even gave us first dibs on this summer's schedule. So we went with my sister, her hubby and her four kiddos and the kids had a blast hanging out with their cousins at the beach all week. We also had awesome weather--only one day of rain and we went to the beach that day, too! LOL!! It was just heavenly. A great little family vacation.

So, that being said--I haven't been online to reply to the comments on the thread, as well as home to check the postal mail!! ;) I did try to post up on the DISboards Thursday afternoon to reply to the messages and explain my absence this week, but the wireless connection was so slow I kept getting timed out! I gave up after the second time replying to all of your messages! Sorry. The sand and surf were calling.....

Anyways, just wanted to say that for those of you Big Givers who have been a little worried about the delivery of packages, I want to reassure you that we did come back to a full mailbox! Very exciting!

Two packages awaited us today, as well as notices for two more packages at the post office. (Unfortunately, we won't be able to pick them up until Monday, but they look like they arrived on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.) The girls wanted to open them before we had even unpacked the car.

We made them wait until we had unloaded and the cooler had been unpacked, but then it was hard to keep Brooke waiting any longer, so we opened them. I'll post up the deets on the packages in the next post. Just wanted to update everyone!

love the cute dresses, the girls look so pretty in them!

Yay, it got there! it was fun picking things out for the girls (I had just bought a couple of the Pooh's, so it was good timing) happy they love all their goodies, hope it will help pass your quiet times during your trip!
We enjoy bringing pixie dust to all the kid's, it put a big smile in our hearts!

Thank you so much! It put a smile in our hearts!

I am so happy that the girls got the package that we sent to them! My girls loved decorating the package with the stickers. It was so fun to see the girls actually trying on the outfits. I made them a little bit on the big side so that hopefully you will be able to use them again next spring. Living up in Canada I figured that you will not be able to use the outfits for a few months after your trip. I remember reading somewhere that Brooke loved rainbows so I made sure to incorporate the rainbow ribbons. I hope you enjoy a wonderful and memorable trip to Disney!

That was wonderful of you! Because pillowcases are so easy to wear over long-sleeve tees and jeans, we'll be able to wear these outfits straight through the fall and then next spring and summer. Love it!

Please thank your girls for me. Brooke loved the decorations! And, yes, she is obsessed with rainbows--the ribbon was the first thing she noticed!

Yay! They arrived in one piece! I was my first shipment to Canada, so I was nervous. :) glad you liked the bibs an pixie dust! I have two girls too, and your story touched my heart! I hope your trip is truly magical!! :wizard:

Those bibs are amazing! I'm almost afraid to use them as I don't want them to get ruined! Avie especially loves the cupcake one! :) Thank you so much!

Great... Our girls are about the same age!! Universal didn't have much my dd could do and she is very tall for her age!! And they wouldn't let my youngest dd on ANY of the rides.. Check out the heights at Universal!! We did both of the parks in one day! Make time to play golf at GKTW. My dd loved Hollywood Studios and their is so much to do at MK!!!

Good to know! I hadn't even thought to check the height restrictions at Universal. I imagine we'll end up at MK twice at least....

Love all the goodies!! The girls faces are just priceless!! thay are quite the little charmers aren't they!

I like to think so! LOL!!

:goodvibesThe pictures are SO ADORABLE!!!! Loving following along - so much FUN!!!

It is! It really is. We are just amazed!

Everything is super adorable!!!

Thanks so much! It's gonna be an amazing adventure!

Yes, definitely expressive! They are quite the drama queens. So different, but so alike....

I've been following along for a while now... Your family is just precious and I just love all of the pictures!!!!

Thanks so much! Well, stay tuned...we've got lots of beach photos to share! And, more BIG GIVE of course!

What awesome Big Gives!!!!! It'll be so much fun!

For sure! I think I'm having fun with keeping all of these secrets! A little too much fun!

Love all the BigGive stuff. Your girls are beautiful and I love the excitement they share on camera! :lovestruc

Thank you! They are quite used to me toting around my camera and have come to expect that if there's a package, there will be photos!

Thanks so much! We hope to meet your whole troop at GKTW!

Thank you, so much! Brooke really wanted to draw in those books....but I've managed to convince her that we need to wait and see if her wish comes true! Baby mermaid drawings are the tip of the iceberg here....

The girls look so thrilled with all of their packages!
I'm enjoying all of your updates.

Your itinerary looks good - hope you get to see all you hope to. What is the Pirate Shamu party? (Maybe I misread that...)

Thank you! No, you didn't misread--it is a Pirate and Princess themed party event that takes place at Give Kids the World. The character mascot Shamu from Sea World is supposedly the 'host' of the event. Should be fun! Anything princessy works for my girls! :)

So, like I said earlier, we came home from the beach and found a welcome surprise in our mailbox--two packages and two notices for post-office pick-ups! Almost made up for the seven-hour car ride today! LOL!!:cloud9:

Our first package was from Judy (DISname: hey_jude) and Allyson! It was spotted with Disney stickers, including a Canadian flag Disney head! From Canadian fairy godmothers! :):cutie:

Brooke tore into it to discover two wrapped packages, one for her and one for Avie. Brooke really enjoyed the card--she loved the shiny fish stickers. Inside her package was the most adorable skirt and t-shirt combo. At first, she pulled out the green tulle skirt and thought it was a Tinkerbell skirt, but then when she pulled out the purple seashell tee, she realized it was an Ariel outfit and the excitement, which was already at high levels, bubbled right over! "An Ariel outfit! An Ariel outfit!'' She insisted on trying it on right away and then practiced meeting Ariel and being a princess with it on. Then, finished with some 'ballet princess moves.' :)

In Avie's package was another skirt and tee combo--Minnie Mouse! And it is ridiculously cute on her. She just looks so sweet in it and it fits wonderfully! Avie was just happy to have something similar to her big sis and wandered around in it trying to copy Brooke's dancing!

My husband just thought these outfits were so cute. Thank you so much hey_jude and Allyson! These are just perfect. The girls LOVE them!! And, so do I! Now, I have to find a good excuse to keep them from wearing the skirts everyday....

The next package was from Marianne, Dave, Phalen and Finn (no disname)--and contained the cutest matching Cat and the Hat outfits! When Avie pulled out hers from her little Cat in the Hat sack, I just started to laugh. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

They are these little white tank tops and capri pants set. On each of the tank tops is Fish from Cat and the Hat. Then, there are these adorable little striped apron skirts (with huge pockets, which I absolutely LOVE! Brooke thought these little aprons looked like Alice and Wonderland's and she loved the idea of it....) with a fishbowl appliqued on the pocket. So, when the girls put the outfits on--it looks like Fish is jumping out of his bowl. So funny and so cute!! :lovestruc

DSC_0381-1.jpg

The package also contained some Cat and the Hat accessories--little socks and those rubberband bracelets! :lovestruc The girls will definitely wear these outfits on one of their Universal Studio days! Just perfect.

DSC_0395.jpg

When I had Brooke and Avery try on their outfits, they fit perfectly! Brooke decided her apron meant she was a shopkeeper and decided she would play store. She laid out all of their outfits from the packages and had me buy the items for my kids. I had to pay her a coin, so she could put it in the apron pocket! Then, she packed up my 'purchases' in the Cat sacks.

Thanks so much Marianne, Dave, Phalen and Finn! We just love the Cat and the Hat, and now we will get to meet him in style! :)

We have another two packages to pick up, but won't be able to get them until Monday morning when the post office opens. I can barely wait! I think I'm almost as excited (or maybe even more so!!!) as the girls are.

The Mickey Mail is really making this trip so super duper extra specially magical. Thank you all so much!

***Photos are posting up on Photobucket right now, but I'll hit submit first, so I don't get timed out again. I'm a little nervous of it since Thursday! If you read this before the photos are added, please check back soon. Pics will be up shortly!

Glad you had a lovely vacation! I can't wait to see your girls with their Big Give packages. Your other pictures were so cute and the seeing the girls' expressions is priceless!

WOW!!! SOunds like you had a wonderful, relaxing beach vacation! :)

Can't wait to see all the pics of the girls sporting their new outfits.

D~

I'm so glad everything fits and the girls like them! :woohoo: I knew that the package had arrived last week so I've been checking in regularly to see pictures.
Allyson will be so pleased to hear that Brooke liked the Ariel outfit since she designed it.

Can't wait to see the contents of the next packages!

:yay: So glad the package arrived and the outfits fit and you like them! I'd never done a Universal outfit before and I had a lot of fun putting these together. I had my two crazy boys with me at the post office and trying to fill out the forms, etc. I can't believe I forgot to tell you my DISname! :rotfl:

The girls look absolutely adorable in the outfits! And I love the shopkeeper play! So cute!

Four more BIG GIVES today! Just waiting for Avie to wake up from her nap to open 'em....

More later....

Looking forward to it!:tinker: I know there's still lots of cute stuff on its way!
