Being a Red Sox fan and living in Florida can be a bitter pill to swallow. Whenever they play the Marlins or the Devil Rays it's always cause for rejoicing because 9 times out of 10 the games will be on TV.
With that in mind, yesterday we had supper early to prepare for a 6 p.m. start of the Sox v/s the Marlins. All week I'd been checking the channel program guide for a network called SUN. Yup, Red Sox v/s Marlins at 6.
At 6 there was another show on.
So I go online to the SUN website and it informs me that if we weren't getting a show that was suppose to be on, it's our local providers fault. We use a company called Brighthouse.
It should be noted that Florida is just not in to Baseball. On any given day, the list of most important sports are Nascar, Professional Football, Nascar, College Football, Nascar, Hockey, Nascar, Nascar, Nascar.
If the news needs something to fill time, they just might put in a story about the Devil Rays.
In Boston things are 100% different. Sometimes I not only feel like I've moved to a different state but a different planet.
I'm going to contact Brighthouse and register a complaint. Whether or not it will make an impact seems doubtful but all you can do is try.
