minnie's seasonal dine

I've seen reviews all over the place for this meal from terrible to great. We went on 12/6 and I'd put it squarely in "good." The food was decent but not amazing... but it was tasty and replenished frequently so hot and fresh. I think after all of the steak meals my kid had (we were on DxDDP) he was glad for chicken nuggets and mac and cheese and stuff. The character interaction was above average.... they all spent more time than average and Daisy in particular had a whole "conversation" with my son about the pikachu and stitch shirt he has and pokemon. It was pretty incredible. My favorite thing were the pumpkin ravioli, which were in a delicious creamy tomato sauce. I also liked the salmon. I might have grabbed a nugget or too. I am not a dessert person really but the pecan tart was one of the best desserts of our trip. Overall it was a nice meal... not my favorite but we ate at a lot of great places that would have been hard to top by any buffet. We did the F! package and that seating was amazing. Great use of a credit on the DDP that's for sure.

Food is fine, nothing to write home about. But the character interactions are amazing -- that's what you're paying for.

The food was pretty good. We've done three out of four "seasons" and found the interactions this time around to be far below the other two- very rushed and really just wave, hug, sign, pose. This may have been an anomaly, as the other two times (spring, fall) had great interactions.

We were there yesterday and I thought the same. It was fine and I thought the food was better than Chef Mickeys the night before but the character interaction was not as good but we were really packed in a small space with a lot of tables! Hollywood and Vine doesn't have a ton of atmosphere imo but the fave 5 in Christmas gear is almost too cute to pass up.

I was there this November during their Halloween theme, and enjoyed the atmosphere. I didn't find any pumpkin ravioli, but I would have liked that a lot. As it was, the food was OK but not what I consider great. It was still fun, and I'm planning to go again for spring. They are pretty smart to change it up for each season so there is more reason to go back.

It was OK. We went on DD"s Birthday in the middle of December based on a great review we read and saw pics of from last year. We found it to be a little bit below what we were expecting based on the pics and review. There wasn't as much decor or little holiday food 'touches' (cranberry butter, holiday cakes, etc). The food is what we'd expect from a Disney buffet. Nothing was great, a few things were not good- most things were just OK. My girls enjoyed it (9 and 5) and character interaction was OK- wasn't the best we've had nor was it the worst.

We really enjoyed this meal. The lobster Mac and cheese was very good. There were a lot of desserts but they were just okay. Our cast member (Corey) was great. The character interactions were about average for us, but my kids aren't great at interacting. They get star struck!

Does any one know what the "seasonal" theme will be January 10-15?
I think it is "silver screen."

I am already planning my next trip with the kiddo and wondering if we want to do this again or mama melrose. I really liked the F! package. Our next trip is February 2018

My girls (ages 7 and 9) did this in Sept. (Halloween theme) and at the end of the week (and after many character meals around property) they ranked this as one of their favorite meals. Food was good and the characters were dressed up so cute in their Halloween costumes. Fun night.

I've done all 5 themes and enjoyed them all. They change out the signage and music to match the theme and of course the characters change their overlays too.

It took us a couple meals to find the right foods for DD3, but by the 3rd visit we knew just what to grab. She prefers adult menu food; the meatballs, mashed potatoes, and pretzel rolls are her favorite dishes.

I always fill up on the lobster mac n cheese and the wide variety of desserts (which change based on the season).

Is it the best food - no; but the atmosphere with the characters is why we went.
