DH: Ace
DD: Tatiana (2yo)

Tuesday, Nov. 5th - MGM

Today we used MGM's Extra Magic Hour and arrived in their parking lot about 7:55. We got a nice parking spot but saw very long lines at the gates. We walked up and saw no one was being admitted yet to the parks. Ugh! Right at 8:00 they did open and it did not take too long to get in.

It seemed everyone was headed to TOT and RNR - we however with our 2yo DD were headed to Muppets 3-D. Tatiana just recently saw "The Muppet Movie" for the first time and loved all the characters so we knew she would get a kick out of this show. DH and I like it alot too! Got over there and walked right in, only about 40 people in their huge theatre. Tatiana was not up for wearing the glasses but still could see the movie quite well. She loved it!! Named all the characters she knew and laughed at the movie too. Left the theatre to take some pictures of her by the fountain and who shows up - Miss Piggy!!!!!!! :D I walked right up with Tatiana to talk to Miss Piggy and get our picture taken. Miss Piggy happens to be Tatiana's favorite next to Kermit so this was a real treat!

Next we wanted to make sure we got good spots for the "Playhouse Disney" show so we started to cross the park to its side. Stopped in for a some muffins and milk at ABC Commissary. Sat outside under the umbrellas to eat and watch the people go by.

We got over to the "Playhouse" theatre and only about two other families were in the ques. DH went and held our place in line while DD and I shopped on the "Playhouse" merchandise carts. She really likes "Bear." I wanted to get her a t-shirt, but no 2 or 3T's, bummer. I did get her though the Ojo and Bear "Potty Training Book!" (hint to Tatiana!) :D and also a coloring set with Bear. We then joined DH in line and the nice thing about PLayhouse is those tv monitors showing "Playhouse" clips! Sure helps keep the kiddies from getting bored.

Finally the doors open and we get front row, center stage spots!!!!!! Our early waiting paid off!! The show was fantastic and DD enjoyed immensely. Her face was priceless when Bear first came out! She just couldn't believe it was REALLY him!!:D I guess DH and I have watched too many "Bear" videos and heard the cd's so much also, as we knew ALL the songs and were singing along!!! If you have young children I think it is so worth getting in line extra early for good spots. The theatre only has floor seating is pretty large. We also got a bonus being one of the last to leave as we started taking some pictures in front of the stage area with "Bear's" house in the background a CM offered to take our picture so we could ALL be in it!! She graciously took two pictures each from our two cameras. I just love when CM's volunteer to do things like this for you!!!!! :Pinkbounc

We had about 45 min. b/4 our ps at Brown Derby so we decided to walk around and enjoy the park and do a little shopping.

At 11:30 we got the Brown Derby for lunch. We had never been there, but always wanted to give it a try. We are so glad we did. The food was VERY GOOD and a nice relaxed atmosphere, made you feel miles away from the buzz of the park. They also have a full bar here too. I know we will be back here to eat again when in MGM. Near us they was a small camera crew taking pictures of a "set" table. We started a conversation with them and found out they were from a Japanese Women's magazine doing a whole tour of the WDW expereince. They were having alot of fun! Now that's an assignment I'd want too!

We originally wanted to do "Beauty and the Beast" after lunch, but DD was fading fast. So we headed back home to OKW for her nap. We all ended up napping a bit too. ;)

After our refreshing naps we were headed to Downtown Disney for some shopping!!!! First stop, World of Disney! Wow, we could lost in here, there are so many rooms. Loved it and bought a shirt for all our family back at home! The resort guest delivery service came in real handy here as there was no way we would have been able to carry our bags of stuff! Next we stopped in at "Pooh's Corner" & "Disney at Home." DD is already a BIG shopper so she was just loving this. She nicknamed all of DTD - "MIckey's Mall!" We thought that was very appropriate! We picked up a MickeyD's dinner and then did some Legoland fun stuff. DH thought we should head back to OKW b/4 we bought anymore stores out. :p LOL! We did spend alot at once, but we also got all of our souvenier shopping for family done at one time which was very nice.

Got back to OKW in time for an evening swim. The pool was like bathwater and the spa was AWESOME as usual.

Tomorrow: EPCOT
