OK the all important question. What time should i aim to be at the start for? I'm trying to work out timings for booking cab, getting up etc. Realistically i would like enough time to meet up with my lovely new friends and visit the porta palaces a couple of times.

How long will it take to get from POFQ to Epcot by cab? Or are most people going directly to the start at AK?

CarolA -- We are at SSR and can share a cab for the 15K if you like. It will be DH and myself. We only need a ride TO the start.

I'm staying at FW and my DW and I could really use a ride to the 5k. I'm running and she will be screamteaming. We'd be happy to ride our bikes over to WL and meet up in the lobby Saturday morning.

For the 15k, we plan on checking out early and parking the Motorhome at the finish.

Sounds good! We will be in Bright Green too! I doubt there will be much confusion that early in the morning!

What day do you get in? I expect us to get in around 12n/12:30 on Friday, then we are off to Fulton's Crab House for lunch at 1pm and then off to Packet Pickup. I've never stayed at SSR before so I'm not familiar w/ the layout. It's my sister's DVC Resort.

The Transportation Wizard on ourlaughlingplace.com says it takes about 22 min to get from SSR To AK by Bus. I'm guessing taxi may not take quite as long?

So, I'm thinking we should plan on a taxi around 4:30/4:45. I assume the concierge desk would call for us? We just need to call them that morning or advise them the night before? What do you think? Have the taxi pick us up at the main entrance by check-in (I think).

Three of us from OKW will be heading over to the 15K (me, hubby, and Nancy "padisneyfan"). We are planning to take a cab since I doubt anyone with a car can fit in all three of us. If a typical cab holds 4 passengers we would be able to squeeze in one other person.

I'm at OKW as well, heading to both the 5K and 15K. I would be happy to share a ride/cab, if that didn't complicate things too much.

ETA - We might even be able to get a minivan - I don't think those even cost extra, typically, do they?

I see that both of you are staying over at AK and driving over to EPCOT. I am on the way and was wondering if any of you had room for me?? I am over at ALL-Star Sports which is the first one along that road on the way over to EPCOT. I could be out front near the lobby area or even out near the security gate entrance.

DH and I are staying at Carribean Beach. We will be driving to AK on Sunday morning for the start of the 15K. We will have room for 2 or 3 ppl. PM me if you need a ride from CB.
