We are staying at the Poly and our Epcot day has morning EMH. I noticed the monorail doesn’t start running until 7:30, which is cutting it a little close for me. We would normally drive ourselves, but don’t want to have to worry about it that day so we can take full advantage of our one day at the F&W festival.

So, we’ve decided to utilize Minnie Van as we have a child requiring a car seat. Is there a “best time” to request one that early? I’ve heard they get busy at park opening.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but you have to request it when you are ready to get in it. You can't place your request ahead of time.

A lot of people would tell you to bring your own booster seat, and that way you can take Uber or Lyft (assuming you don't object to them for other reasons). I think there are folding and inflatible booster seats.

We never tried it that early but when it rained it did get busy getting a Minnie Van. One night we gave up because it never found one and one time it had a 15 minute wait time. I would say try to be ready early and see - you can not request it in advance. I wish you could.

I apologize, maybe I didn’t word my question well. I know you can’t request them in advance, but I was wondering what the best time was to request one as I know they can be quite busy at park opening. If I know what time I’ll be requesting one, I can work backwards to figure out what time we need to wake up to get ready.

Booster seats are not an option for a 2 year old.

I would request one about 15 before you want to leave

But...what time should I be leaving? Will there be plenty available if I request one at 6:45? At 7?

I don’t want to be requesting one at 6:30 if it isn’t really necessary, but I don’t want to wait too long to the point that I won’t be able to get one in a timely fashion because they’re all “in use.” I’m trying to figure out if there’s a sweet spot in there.

It depends on what time you want to arrive. Figure that out and work backwards.

There isn't one specific time where you will be guaranteed to not have to wait. There also isn't one specific time where you will have a long wait. It just depends on luck. Like I said, I would request one about 15 minutes before you want to leave. I can't guarantee you that it will get there at the exact moment that you would like to arrive.
