I took an Uber the other day and climbed into the back seat of an SUV where the driver had rigged a home made partition of sorts between the back seats and the front seats. It was a plastic see through kind of tarp that was held in place with duct tape around the hull of the vehicle. The center console between the two front seats had built in vents to supply air conditioning to the back seats of the vehicle, and the partition was taped around the console to still allow air flow. Essentially the driver and I were still breathing the same air. However, with both of us wearing our masks, perhaps a proper filter could further reduce the spread of viruses and bacteria. This made me wonder if perhaps Minnie Vans that are out of service right now could be fitted with a similar set up to reduce the spread of potential pathogens. Of course, nothing is going to completely eliminate the spread of viral particles, but would this allow drivers to safely resume this service? If so, the front passenger seat may have to be sacrificed. Also, the partition would be one more surface that would need to be wiped down between guests. Either way, Minnie Vans were such a time saver on our last Disney trip, and I hope they will be up and running again soon. Any thoughts on when service might be restored?
