We will be celebrating DS's bday while we are in WDW. He loves Minnie mouse so I was thinking of going to Chef Mickeys either for breakfast or dinner. I will be ordering a cake and would like Minnie to be there for that. Any other recommendations??

At Chef Mickey's each character is assigned a section for the special celebrate dance.

Cakes and cupcakes are presented by the server, prior to the dance.

Arranging Minnie to present the cake may be difficult. Not impossible, you're a Disney, anything is possible, but it could require more work than just ordering a cake and showing up.

You may want to, at the very least, let the hostess know as you check in that you'd like to wait to be seated in Minnie's section for the dance part.

and Liberty Tree Tavern both usually have Minnie. I agree wih the PP that at CM having Minnie present will be difficult. It can be crazy in there at times. I don't know if the others would be easier.

I didn'r realize they had their own sections. Should I go there for breakfast or dinner or should I try LTT. I havent been there so I am not sure how it works.

have specific sections. The characters rotate around the restaurant greeting the visitors. The rotation is occasionally interrupted for a napkin parade with all of the characters and some of the kids. The buffet is in the center so people are moving around at all times.

On our last trip the last character to come to our table was Pluto who happens to be my daughter's favorite. We were waiting on him before we left so when he came around the table my daughter was all excited. This other kid from somewhere else in the restaurant comes over and starts hugging Pluto. Pluto plays with the kid for awhile and then turns to us to take a picture. We had to explain that that wasn't one of ours.

It kids a bit chaotic at times. That's all.

No, your son will still meet Minnie, it's just that for the Song that they do with the napkin twirling (when the server presents the cake/cupcake) they DO have a specific section. So he may be with Minnie for that particular thing, and he may not be.

Sometimes when you have a cake or cupcake the character will come up and twirl their napkin with you to 'celebrate' your special day.

I know this because we had Minnie in our section and DS got to twirl with her on his 2nd birthday.

Ok I understand now. Thanks.

I wish there was a way to ensure Minnie could be there
