We have a small camper size fridge that we took with us last time to Disney when we drove. It was perfect because we were able to keep milk and snacks in it. This time we are flying. Is it possible to take it along with the luggage on the airplane? I thought we could then have groceries delivered to room once we got there. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

I don't think so. A refrigerator uses compressed gas (they used to be freon but is now something else) and compressed gasses are not allowed. Additionally, I'd hate to think about what shape your 'fridge would be in when it arrived in Orlando. Remember, refrigerators are always shipped with specific "this way up" instructions to prevent damage. I'd hate to guess how much care they will get in the belly of a 737...

If you're staying onsite you can get one either with your room (moderate or deluxe) or simply pay $10/day at a value. I remember reading that someone also posted about another company which would deliver a refrigerator to your room for less than Disney's $10 day if you were in a value. They may offer the same seervice if you're staying offsite as well.

You could bring a hard sided cooler with you and pack it with clothes etc as luggage, just watch the size and weight so you won't have to pay extra. Airline websites should have the measurements and weight. Then just fill up the cooler with the free ice from the resort. What we do is buy a cheap styrofome (SP?) cooler and stock it with the water, milk etc. The ice will normally last one day. I just refill it in the AM while I'm waiting for everyone else to get ready to go to the parks. Of course we rent a car so that is why we get the cheap cooler. If we didn't have the car, we would go with the hard sided cooler and just tape it shut with some duct tape. The TSA people will most likely open it up and then reseal it and remember to bring extra tape for the trip back. We've even found foam coolers outside of the rooms while housekeeping was cleaning up and just asked if we could have them
