Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Thank you for the trip to Epcot! Have a wonderful Friday with your babies!

I have Back to School night tonight. I don't really mind except that I am tired (and my throat hurts- making me worry that I might have strep, which is going around...).

Have fun tomorrow with your girls! And Jill, enjoy the beach! I hope you find a restful weekend ahead for you. :goodvibes

I hope you have a good weekend Memom. I too have plans to do housework this weekend. :headache:

Jill, John and girls, I hope you have a blast at the beach!

Enjoy your time in Alabama with the girls! Sounds like a nice, relaxing weekend ahead.

I'm really interested to see what fun festivities will be going on at the MK this weekend. Disney has been so tight lipped, keeping us wondering!

Yes, it should be nice enough. I don't have anything really pressing on the agenda. :thumbsup2

It looks like there will be a special castle ceremony and a few other things. WDW Radio is covering it live, if you want to check in with them. I don't know if the DIS is going to be doing anything live. I haven't had a chance to listen to the podcast this week.

@uncw89

Thank you! I did have an amazing day!

Thanks! That is very cool! I'm planning on heading down to DW for my birthday next year! So excited!!!

-I have never experienced Captain EO but I feel like I should....
-Oh Figment! I rode it for the first time last trip and I like it, but it's outdated!!
-I am very much enjoying the one little spark shirt! I may have to pick that up next time!
-How funny! My eyes gravitated right to that before I even read what you wrote!
-I LOVE the nerd bag! So cute!
-I agree! This does feel like a friday to me! I have classes today but then tomorrow I only have a psych lab which is pretty easy and then I get to go home for the weekend!!!

A birthday in WDW will be a special one. :wizard:

Have a fun weekend!

Sounds like a great weekend to me. Glad Jill is getting some beach time in. We are supposed to have a blast of fall this weekend. I hope it holds off for her to enjoy the beach.

DD just had grandparent's day at her school too. Very sweet stuff! I am so glad that you can make it! I know you wouldn't have missed it for anything!

Allebammer.... That reminds me of one of DH's coworkers. In all his emails to DH, he kept spelling the word 'formula' as 'formuler'. Well after about a million times of seeing it that way, DH finally told him that formula was spelled with an 'a' on the end. So from then on, the guy has spelled it 'formular'! DH said he just doesn't have the heart to correct him again! Country folks... gotta love em!

The forecast for Jill's trip is 85 and sunny the whole time. :cool1:

People in the south throw some r's in at the end of several words that are r-less. They also throw them into the middle of words where they don't belong sometimes, like warsh. I have to warsh some clothes today.

I am lookng forward to seeing Brooklynn's classroom and meeting her friends. :cutie:

Happy Friday for you MeMom!

I hope you enjoy your time with your girls. Even the smallest of breaks seem to re-charge my batteries for the days ahead.

I have even more spring in my step lately, because my family has 17 days and we'll be at Kidani!!

Even a day away from school is a nice break. I have to say, though, thiss class is so much more enjoyable than last year's just because I don't have the severe issues I had last year. Even my 'bad guys' this year are really not all that 'bad'. Of course, teachers do not use that term in front of kids. We have words like challenging and special friends and such, but when the kids are talking about each other, they still use the old-fashioned term, 'He's bad in class' when describing things. They can't be fooled. ;)

I'm excited to be back in WDW, too. I want to get a chance to take pictures at Kidani on a trip soon, but I don't think it is going to be this one. The trip is too short for much resort-hopping.

Happy counting! 17, 16, 15, 14, 13......... :dance3:

That Epcot picture is just gorgeous. What a sight to see and feel and smell. And everything. I'd like to even just go and sit. Just to soak it all in. Enjoy the fun day with your girlies tomorrow MeMom!

This made me snort and laugh Rinky. Hilarious!

I will enjoy the day. It'll start with Brooklynn's school activities. She and I will spend the afternoon at the house. I don't know if Jill plans for Bella to stay in her routine or come back with us. It will end with Jill's bunch on their way to the beach and me on my way back home.

With Ben-dog.:dog:
Whom my cat despises.:cat:

Oughta be an interesting week for me, too.

I love the picture of Brooklynn hiding from the loud noises on Imagination. My niece is pretty much the same way. Not a fan of stink or noise.

Why, I have no idea where you're going next?! *cough*Nemo*cough*

You might be *cough*correct*cough* :)

Brooklynn has never liked loud noises.
However, sometime she is the loud noise. ;)
Like when she sings.
She can really belt them out sometimes! :rotfl:

It's my Friday too! I took tomorrow off to go to the Family Fun Picnic at my DDs' school and then I get to go get a massage! Ahhhh...

I'm sure you'll have a blast in Allebammer! I enjoy Figment, never saw EO. We skipped it last time. The girls had no interest. I wish they'd do something with Ellen's Energy Adventure too. It's far too long and dull.

Where to next? I'd be happy just looking at the picture at the end, but maybe we should just keep swimming...

I don't get a massage at the end of my day. Very nice. Have an awesome Friday and a great weekend!

The next ride is familiar territory to us. We usually do it multiple times each trip.

It sounds like it will be a very good Friday for you. Enjoy your time with your sweet girls.

I am happy to be here instead of at school. :goodvibes

Thank you for the trip to Epcot! Have a wonderful Friday with your babies!

I have Back to School night tonight. I don't really mind except that I am tired (and my throat hurts- making me worry that I might have strep, which is going around...).

My throat is sore, too. We've had a lot of sickness at school this week. Lots of kids and teachers have been out. I guess I've managed to snag a germ or two at some point, but so far, nothing horrible.

I hope your Back to School Night was fun!

Have fun tomorrow with your girls! And Jill, enjoy the beach! I hope you find a restful weekend ahead for you.

Jill very much needs and deserves this rest. ::yes::

I hope you have a good weekend Memom. I too have plans to do housework this weekend.

Jill, John and girls, I hope you have a blast at the beach!

Housework and schoolwork will be made easier with Disney magic going on that I can check into frequently. :wizard: They are going to show the MK opening show and the castle show in the morning. I plan to be watching both.

Poor guy! He doesn't even realize that he has people all the way to MN laughing at him over that!

There are probably a few from Canada, Europe, and Brazil around here that find him amusing, too. He's gone international!

Enjoy your time with the girls! Homework and house work awaits me this weekend.....

Me, too. It's gotta get done, though, or we'll be on some reality filthy house show.

Have fun with the girls, Memom.

Jill have an awesome time at the beach!

I will, and I know Jill will, too. :cool2:

Happy Friday.....again! :cool1:

This time it is real.

I went to Bella's Book Fair last night, since it was open late. She chose a Princess book, and then Jill chose one for us to donate to her classroom library. We came home when it closed, got showers, and went straight to bed!

Today, I will enjoy seeing Brooklynn's program.

Justin Beiber fans might want to be there, too.

Brooklynn and a few other students are leading the Pledge.
I asked her to show me how she would do it.

At first, she said she couldn't, because she didn't know which hand.
So, I showed her.
(Jill says we'll put a tiny dot on her hand this morning so she'll remember. ;))

Anyway, Brooklynn proceeded to say the pledge perfectly.....

until the end,

when she said

'...with liberty and Justins for all.' :cutie:

Have a Fantastic Friday, DIStown!!! :woohoo:

Hi everyone. I'm at wdw now. I will take lots of pics on sat a t mk and try to Facebook some too. Caten have a great day today with the girls! Hope to see a few of you at the 5k. I have the purple baby jogger with the green Mickey head attached. :) have a great weekend.
Ps. I can't spite only phone fromthe earlier post but thanks to my dad I said "warsh" for my first 10 yes of life until a nice teacher broker of it. Yup southern family :))

Sorry For the spelling errors auto correct on my phone is not a good thing :)

LOL well that's one way to look at the pledge LOL!! How cute!!!!!!!! I bet you are having the best time with your girls and rightly deserved!!! I'm glad you are having a relaxing weekend!!!!

I am in the mad rush of getting grades done...the first six weeks is coming to a close (where does time go?!?!?). Of course I'm also getting ready for my bday trip this weekend so it's time to start cracking down on the last minute things and get them DONE!!!!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend Caren!!!!

Hope you are enjoying your time with your lovely girls. Bless Brooklynn with her mix up of the words. I'm sure she'll get it right when the big moment arrives.:cutie: Jill, i hope you manage to relax on this weekend away. Memom, have fun watching the Magic Kingdom tomorrow.

That is too cute with Brooklynn and the "Justin's for all" :upsidedow Love it!

I hope you have a wonderful time today with your girls and that Jill and family have a fantastic time at the beach! Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend.

If you have a moment/thought/prayer to spare, I'd appreciate one for my grandpa. He's had a rough year, bouncing between the hospital and rehab facility for pneumonia, a broken hip and some other health issues, but he seemed to take a turn the worse this past weekend. The prognosis isn't good; when he swallows, stuff goes down the wrong tube so he is unable to eat or take his medicine (specifically his Parkinson medicine). When last asked he didn't want a feeding tube. I went to see him in KC the last couple days, he seems to be aware at times that I was there, but I don't know if he recognized me and he can't vocalize what he wants. I think he's miserable and upset. I'd just like some peace for him and if this is truly the end that he passes quickly and without pain. I think he's ready to go be with my grandma. Anyway, I'd appreciate any good thoughts or prayers you could throw his way.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
Rachel

I hope you guys do get to meet some other DISers. Too bad you couldn't have gotten together in one place at one time for a short meet so that everyone could see everyone briefly. I like meeting DISers, but on trips, if you try to schedule lots of meets, it messes with your planning. I like it when a lot of DISers can work it out to meet everyone at once maybe outside a park or at a resort.

We do report cards on nine week rotations now. The nine weeks ends the day before we leave for Florida. I am going to be getting my grades done very quickly. :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend!! :goodvibes

Thanks. I got the girls Spooky Buddies, so they watched that a few minutes ago. Bella called it Squishy Buddies. :upsidedow

Opening ceremonies start at Magic Kingdom at 8, I think they said. :dance3: That'll be 7 my time, but I'll be up and ready for the fun long before that.

Brooklynn did a wonderful job saying the Pledge. There were several little girls helping, so I couldn't single her out, but I am guessing she stuck with Justins, since that is how she has practiced it all along.

That is too cute with Brooklynn and the "Justin's for all" :upsidedow Love it!

Prayers and good thoughts for your family as you watch your grandpa. You know he doesn't want to be like this or have anyone see him like this. When my dad was sick with his cancer, he didn't want us around, because he didn't like us seeing him in a weakened state. Men like to be the strong ones and stay the strong ones, and it is hard on them physically and emotionally to be less than that. Keep us updated on how things are going.

The girls are very excited to be going to the beach, although Bella doesn't know what a beach is. I look forward to seeing a picture of them waving at me from ankle deep in the water. It'll be the biggest swimming pool they will have ever seen.

 Justin Beiber, Ha! I'm sure she was talking about my Justin :goodvibes

Hope you are having a fabulous day with your girls!!

I'm betting your Justin has a fan club of giggly teenage girls, doesn't he? ;)

***********************************

Brooklynn's program was cute. The children sang songs and showed us the classrooms. I may have almost allowed a tear to creep up under my sunglasses. We were outside, so that worked nicely. :cool2: I think God was very pleased seeing those precious children out on this beautiful day singing so sweetly.

There were muffins and coffee, of which I had none. I don't drink coffee, and they looked like they had a lot more grandparents than muffins, so I just held off until lunch.

We walked up to the big school and got books from the Book Fair and gave Brooklynn's teacher some money to get something she wanted for the class. Brooklynn got a Disney Princess book and an African Cats book. I got one for my classroom on the Chinese tomb warriors. Sooo, in a sneak way, we had a little Magic Kingdom, a little Animal Kingdom, and a little Epcot on our morning. :)

Brooklynn also wanted a little white puppy dog, and it was decided that since she would be accompanying her new owner to the beach tonight, her name would be Sandy. Jill guessed the name to be Seashell when Brooklynn gave her a beach hint, so now Sandy is officially Sandy Seashell.

I hope Sandy Seashell will be a good protector from toe-biting crabs and stinging jellyfish and landsharks (since I don't think they'll go out over knee deep) this weekend. I want my girls to have a very fun and very safe few days. :lovestruc

It sounds like Jill and the girls are ready for a wonderful weekend! I'm glad to hear that you had fun at the program, what a nice thing to do in honor of the grandparents! :)

Thank you for sharing some wonderful Epcot photos! They look so bright and cheerful, you can almost believe you are there!

I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, and don't spend too much time on schoolwork! :upsidedow

I'm so glad you enjoyed the program at Brooklynn's school! And you are so good to give the teacher some money to get something for her classroom, that is very thoughtful.

Okay, I have a little thing for these dog buddies movies, Marc makes fun of me but I always want to watch them. I haven't seen any of them yet but I'm secretly so excited to have baby on the way because now I have an excuse to rent and buy them. :rotfl2: I really want to see Spooky Buddies, it looks adorable!

I'm finally here!!

Hello MeMom and Jill...and everyone else! :thumbsup2

Well MeMom...DH got a job in British Columbia so we moved half way across the country last month. (For those not familiar with Canadian Geography we moved about the same distance as Detroit, MI to Spokane, WA...a mere 2000 miles!! :scared1: )

Now we're terribly far from Disney World :sad2:

but........

we're about as far here to Disneyland as we were there to Disney World so I think it's a fair trade! :yay:

We've never been to Disneyland before so, of course we're planning a trip there in the summer! :thumbsup2

In fact, we're aiming to be at the Disneyland resort on DD's 9th birthday so she is beyond thrilled!

Just wanted to update you and let you know I'm all caught up and ready for more!

Have fun at the beach Jill and family!
