I have been thinking about & praying for everyone along the East Coast, in North Carolina, and all of my DIS friends who may be affected by the hurricane. Now that I have read your posts, I will definitely keep Jackie, Marc & Anita, and Crew's entire family in my prayers!!! What a difficult time for everyone!

But you are completely right, MeMom! We know who is watching over us all & will help us get through this difficult time!!! We can at least take comfort in that.

I'm so sorry Jackie, I can't even imagine

For right now they're not evacuating anyone in my town, but they are in a few places in RI. They're talking about 6-10 foot waves from the storm surge. I'm so so so glad my house isn't on the water. My mom and I sometimes drive by the really nice houses on the water and say how cool it would be to have that view all the time, but right now I'm really glad we live a mile away from the water! One of my best friends is in one of the neighborhoods they were talking about evacuating so I'm hoping she'll be okay. They'll definitely have an evacuation if they think there's a chance of flooding there.

I put a bunch of outdoor furniture and stuff in the shed today so it won't be flying all over the place. I did the same thing at my grandma's house. I'm so glad we got both of our dead trees taken down. I told you about the birch tree, but we also had one in the backyard. A limb fell off and put a huge hole in the roof of the shed. The tree was one good storm away from falling over, probably right into my mom's room

Jackie, I'm sending you prayers and hugs. I know how hard it is to lose a parent so young, and so unexpectedly.

MeMom, I hope Crew's family feels the prayerful presence of your DIS family. I know you do.

A happy note: My brother finished chemo this week and his doctors are openly optimistic. Phew! Thanks for all the thoughts & prayers.

Playin catch up once again! The first week of school and all...I know you understand!

I had somehow missed the party pics on FB so glad I found them here. Your parties always are so fabulous! I love the flying lantern!!

He is doing awesome now. Before surgery he was smaller than his twin sister. The day of his surgery John said he would grow like the Incredible Hulk because his body could function correctly not work so hard to keep his heart working right.

I'm so happy to hear this! My Daniel was the same way, I brought that sick little baby to the hospital and brought home an entirely different one! We have now made it to where the cardiologist only wants to check up on him every 5 years. If he gets through puberty without any further issues, he will be given the all clear!

This used to be our bus stop - close to the entrance/exit.

We always wondered when they were going to move us into a further away spot and let the rich people come in closer.

They shuffled the stops around the week we were there. Imagine our shock when we saw that OKW sign on our third DHS day! We were hoping perhaps they had shuffled at the other parks too but alas...still dead last at MK too

There seems to be so many people suffering here on the DIS right now.It really does make you appreciate every day that is good, or even just ok. Heres hoping that next week is a better week.

I have to admit, I had a crummy week but I know many others had much worse. With this I am reminded of all the good this week.

This is a great way of looking at things! Right there with you!

Hoping everyone stays safe that is in the storm path. We will be praying everyone is ok.

Thoughts and prayers are with Jackie and her family. Losing a parent is a hard thing to go though.

Praying Marc and Anita has smooth sailing through the surgery.

What sad news for Crew's family. I can't imagine the pain they are in. Prayer to them as well!

I agree with Poolrat. My week was sort of sucky but it sure doesn't compare to the real true suffering some are experiencing.

Pop Century AND Epcot! Two of my very favorite Disney things!

We haven't been to Garden Grill in years, but I remember it being a lot of fun. The fact that it moves is just even better. Your pictures really make me so much more excited to be back in just 130 days. I feel like it is going to fly by come September since this is probably going to be a crazy semester for me. I can't believe that in just a month, we'll be in the double digits!
