I'm sooooo glad you didn't get the Dallas Marie - It looked nice - but wasn't "the one". You know? You looked wwaaaaaaayyyy cuter in the tea-length. Tre-cute!

BUT! What an awesome story on how you found your one and only dress. It was by chance, when you weren't really looking. Kind of like true love. What a nice "something old" that you found. I love that you're going to update it with your own styling to truly make it your own.

Gotta love how the dress kind of finds you sometimes.

It is a very pretty dress. Princess-y without being too over the top. And, the embroidery is beautiful. I'm sure a good seamstress or tailor will be able to alter it to a corset back.

I agree with the above posters--- and, I just want to say, you look so pretty in your dress! (I'm picturing the top fitting correctly, don't worry!) I'm sure they can do a corset back--- AND maybe you should try to have the corset be in some sort of pale pink, pretty fabric? Yes no?

Also, I love how your fiance calmed you down. He's a keeper.

Thanks everyone! I know it's not the flashiest dress, or the most flattering dress I've tried on, but I feel really comfortable in it, and I was super stressed about spending mega $$$$ on a dress I'd wear for one day so this is an amazing find and I couldn't be happier with it. Now I just have to wait and see how much alterations will set me back.

Pink corset ribbons are a great idea!!! (Why didn't I think of that ......)

I deleted the cost of the dress from my post just in case any guests are lurking. I don't want the price of the dress to be a big deal. All my guests need to know is that it's "vintage."

It is super vintage and Aurora-esque! I kinda love it the more and more I look at her! Plus adding the pink corset ribbon like Wendy suggested.. OMG. And even pink tulleing underneath.

Amen! So sorry for the miscredit. And I think even if you left it long.. but took it up about 3" to have exposed hot pink tulleing.. OMG.
