Not wedding related but KINDA wedding related - I met David Tutera yesterday!

He was doing a book signing at Joann's in Torrance, CA yesterday, so me and my bestie drove down from Hollywood and got in line about an hour early to meet him. He is SO ADORABLE. He had a chair next to him so everyone in line could sit down and have their "moment" with his Royalness.

Here's what I look like when I'm completely star struck.

He shook my hand and I said I was a huge fan of his show, and me and my bestie got together every Sunday to watch it, and now that I'm engaged I am going back and watching all of them again, to which he said, "Well let me ask you, is it helping? Are you getting inspiration?" and I said that I was.

I wanted to tell him all about my wedding plans so he could say, "You sound fabulous, please allow me to plan your entire wedding for free," but at this point the Joann's lady, obviously trying to move things along, asked for us to look at the camera(phone).

I'm not sure what he's looking at.

Then my bestie asked if he could make the GQ pose like the picture on all his products. "Oh, like this?"

Then my bestie got her picture with him and he signed her book, and then he said good bye and good luck with my wedding planning. I spent about 90 seconds in the presence of David Tutera and it was amazing.

Ahhh, I'm so jealous! He is absolutely adorable, I love his work as well and I wanna hug him! Very cool, Mindy! (Also, LOVE your shirt!)

I love your Save the Dates!! If I'd had more than 5 months notice I totally would have loved to do something that creative! I guess I'll need to channel all this creative energy into making my invites.

Your Save the dates are great, too! I battled with myself back and forth between getting something cheaper from Vistaprint or going all out and doing this project ... To be honest I have only had 5 or 6 people call or email to tell me they really like them, so not sure it was worth it .... lol. At least you all appreciate them, haha!

Funny you should say this, because I almost made the BIGGEST flub! He thanked us for waiting and I almost said, "The wait wasn't too bad, I EXPECTED THE LINE TO BE LONGER." But I stopped myself, thank goodness!!!!! Sometimes when I get nervous I get diarrhea of the mouth and say the DUMBEST things but this time I processed it and caught myself, whew!!!
