Miltary Salute ticket ??? Do the people using the ticket need to be there for activation?

If my husband does the voucher exchange and activation, do the ticket users have to be there at the window with him?? The reason I am asking is because my son is flying in a day after us. Does my husband have to wait and do his ticket the next day or can he do them all when we arrive and then just give my son his park ticket when he arrives? TIA

Technically, everyone who'll be using the tickets is supposed to be present. However, it can't hurt to explain the situation and ask. Some ticketing CMs will make the exception.

Also be able to share your sons driver's license and other information with the cast member, they may help you more if you already have that stuff handy!

I agree with the others. While technically everyone who is using a ticket is supposed to be there for activation, I have heard that they often do not hold you to that at the ticketing or guest services window. We have always all been there, but they haven't asked for ID from anyone but my DH.

And even if they do require him to be there, it will only take a few minutes the next day to activate your son's ticket after he arrives.

We are using salute tickets in early December, and are planning to activate them at Disney Springs on our arrival evening, as we are not visiting a park that day.

In May my friend (military member) was able to activate my sister's ticket when he activated his and his wife's. I didn't think it would be possible since my sister wouldn't be there for a few more days, so I was pleasantly surprised. This was at the International Gateway.

Some of the people in my party used these tickets. We activated them at Disney Springs and only the adults went into guest relations with the military spouse. The only ID they asked for the was the spouses military ID. None of the other people using the tickets were asked for their ID.
