Super help if anyone knows the answers...
I just came across the Shades of Green Salute to Veterans promo valid in January and September. This program allows prior military members who were discharged honorably to book at the resort - only thing needed is proof in the form of your DD214.
I have already booked a room at the Ft. Wilderness cabins but have not purchased all the tickets. Not really sure if the upgrade availble is really worth it to me at this point or not.
Will we be allowed to purchase the MYW tickets from Shades of Green in January if we go there with our DD214 form at the ticket sales area?
I looked up a 10 day ticket ($212) plus hopping ($45) plus no-expire ($155). You do not have to pay sales tax at Shades of Green. Total for our tickets would be $2396 (for our family) vs $2794 (Disney site WITH tax added in). I understand that I would be able to buy the military tickets even if we no longer are active duty?
If we decided to buy the annual pass $426 (adult) & $375 (children) will we be allowed to trade them in at Disney. You receive a voucher from Shades of Green. Does anyone know if all you need at Disney is the DD214 form?
Has any prior military member used this program? Did you have any problem with your tickets? What about overflow rooms? I called and they did not have any rooms for the days we were planning to go but she did say the overflow rates haven't been loaded into the computer and won't be until December 1st?
