Military tickets question

Hello,
If one is staying at the Grand Californian and has military tickets, is there any kind of early entry (extra magic hour)? Or is that only with regular tickets?

Does the Grand Californian extra magic hour even still exist? It looked like on the website that was suspended due to covid reopening? Any ideas on when it could come back?

We are planning a trip for October.

There is no early entry right now for anybody. Hopefully it comes back soon, but as of now it's gone unfortunately.

While they aren’t doing EMH at all currently, they type of ticket doesn’t matter, as long as you are staying in a resort hotel and have a room key to show.
We’ve stayed many times on military salute tix, and they just scan your ticket and verify that you do have a room key to access the parts of the park that are open beyond the rope drop lines.
I sure do hope they bring some kind of early entry back soon, or there’s no real benefit to staying at an “on property” hotel, other than proximity…
