This is a great deal - I plan on using it.

I am going to play dumb here...does this include people who served and were honorably discharged?

Good for our Military folk !:thumbsup2
I think thats a wonderful thing for Disney to do,
and well deserved.

I can't help but think that Bobby I. is just cringing at the thought of it tho.:lmao:

Would all of these passes have to be activated or used at the same time period? Meaning could the passes purchased for guests at $99.00..can they be used during a different visit to the parks...other from when the active/retired military member is visiting?

Jim is a really good friend of Bobby's. I can't help but think he had some input.

Yeah, I'm not surprised Bobby came through with this. I planted the seed when he was a little tipsy at my place New Years Eve.

Yeah, when Jim starts seeing little green guys that slap the ground repeatedly and siccing the Wonderbeagle on them we know it's time to cut him off! :dogdance: :lmao:

Man, someday you guys are going to be sorry you made fun of me.

I am going to use it. With my husband and me....we should be able to get the whole family a deal. We decided that we don't know when but we are going. Too good of a deal to pass up.

I found the 40% off room rates for military too. What a great deal - I'm working with Rhonda to put together a May trip to POFQ or POR (hopefully). This trip will be as cheap as my November trip when you include food!

The 40% off will pay for DDP and the ticket is free for me and only $125 for my wife for a 5-day hopper - I let my AP expire in November. Boy Disney must be really hurting to offer deals like this, but I'm not complaining. Now hopefully I'll stay employed until then but if not I'll just retire. :cool1:

And I thought the 36 years I spent in the Army (off and on) were a complete loss. :lmao: :dance3:

That sounds terrific Al....:woohoo: What a deal! :yay:

Just try to go with French Quarter if you can...I was disappointed with Riverside this past November. Resort food court was great... but the difference between the Aligator Bayou and the Magnolia Bend sections of the resort, was HUGE, and they won't guarantee an Alligator Bayou room. :sad2:
We had a room in the Magnolia Bend area that was dirty and in desperate need of refurbishment. The Alligator Bayou section appeared very nice, and we had hoped to transfer to a newly refurbished room there, but it didn't work out. We left the resort.

May is my favorite time of year to visit Disney.:wizard: Especially coming from NY...you'll need some WARM weather by then!

That's sad to hear that POR Riverside has been allowed to get in that shape. It used to be one of our favorite resorts. We stayed there several times when it was still Dixie Landings, and several times after the name change. WE liked it so much better than POR French Quarter. We always enjoyed the food better at Coronado, but always enjoyed the setting and resort at Riverside the best of any we stayed at. Now, the Fort is our favorite!
