Military tickets and MDE

What is the protocol on getting military tickets linked to MD so that fastpasses can be scheduled. A friend is traveling in November and her husband is a marine. We have gotten military tickets with my father in law before but that was before the magic band craziness. I know that when a military member purchases the voucher at their base it gets activated when the arrive at the park and show their military ID. Do these vouchers have ticket numbers so they can be linked to MDE?

I just did this in September. I had to call to link it because the voucher number was too long for the on line system. The MS person linked it with no problem and I was able to book FP+ and everything was linked when I got there. I went to the booth at MK when I got there and they linked everything to our magic bands from their computer. NO problems!

I just did this last week. Log in to your MDE, click on "tickets" "link tickets" and the number below the barcode is what you enter. Super simple. I know mine I thought were the letter O, but they were all the number 0. I figured that out when it rejected the first code I put in.

If there is not a number below the barcode you can use the link older tickets button and use the information on the voucher to link. I didn't know how and called and linked one this weekend- the lady who answered walked me through the process so if I needed to do it again I could.

It's very handy being able to link the vouchers to MDE for fp+ purposes. We will be there next week and have all the vouchers linked and fp+ made. I will arrive on Thurs. evening but we will not be going into the parks until Fri. morning. To avoid hassles and long lines at MK I'm going to walk over to Epcot Thurs. night to activate everything. Do I need to have everyone's magicbands (or the people themselves) with me or can I just take all of the vouchers and my military ID? Thanks in advance...

I just did this very same thing today, without any issues at all. The entire process took about 4 hours from the time I called Shades of Green to purchase the tickets until I had all of my Fast Passes loaded up off of the My Disney Experience website.

A majority of that time was waiting for Shades of Green to scan me my vouchers so that I could link them. Once I had the vouchers sent to me, it took about 10 mins to link them, and about another 5-10 mins selecting all of the Fast Passes.

Really easy, in my opinion. Upon arrival, we will by buying Magic Bands and linking the tickets and Fast Passes to them (although no credit card can be linked this way to the Magic Bands).
