How hard is it to get a Military rate for a cruise?
I know it is hard to get a Fl rate for June but I was thinking about taking the family and the Military rate would allow me to take the 4 day instead of the 3 day.
Also, how many rooms can you book using the Military rate? I would need a category 4 for me, and 2 category 10 for my children. Peggie

I don't know if there are military rates for DCL, but I will say that the summer cruises are selling out rapidly as the Magic is going to be on the west coast, leaving only the Wonder for everyone left on the east coast till September. You may want to call DCL and ask them if they offer a miltary discount directly.

I do not know about the Wonder rates because to me, they just seem to short of a time for a cruise. I noticed that they have FL 7 day cruise rates posted and no military rates posted. Once upon a time, whenever FL resident rates were posted, military rates are also posted for the same dates. I e-mailed DLC and said while it was nice to offer discount 7 day cruises to FL, what about our hard working troops, especially because the pay is not that great. DCL gave me a generic reply thanking me for writing and that my e-mail would be fwd to the appropriate department. I guess DCL no longer wants to "thank" the military by offering lower rates for 7 day cruises. Oh well, the rates were nice while they lasted, my family was able to take advantage of the rates for 3 cruises. I am now paying about $400.00 more for a cat 11 than I paid for a cat 7 for last years President's Eastern cruise.

I booked a 3 day cruise for November 05 last month, and was told that there are no military rates as of yet (through DU, at least) but that we could keep checking as we get closer.

We just came back from a cruise this past November when we booked through DCL we were told they don't offer Military rates. I know some other cruise lines do. Not sure which ones though. Tina

I just happened to stumble upon this discussion and maybe I can offer some help. I am a military wife and my husband is stationed in New Orleans. I know that Disney Cruise Line does offer Military Rates on occassion. I have yet to cruise but I know that our ITT does post offers from Disney Cruise Line. If you want to send me a PM I will give you our ITT's phone number and you can call and inquire. I believe that a Disney Representative is scheduled to come to our base later this month so if the ITT person doesnt have info now she might be able to ask when the Rep comes.
