Military discount on WDW tix? Can we buy at the parks?

Pretty new to the military discount. Where can we buy park tix and get the discount? Can we just do it at any of the parks or DTD?

military salute tickets are sold both at disney ticket windows and on bases. If you buy them on base you often save on taxes. You can buy up to 6 tickets total on one military id. The prices are 170$ for 4 day park hoppers and 200 for 4 day park hoppers with water parks and more.

You can not add days to the 4 day salute tickets so if you want more than 4 park days you will have to buy other tickets. the 4 day with water parks and more actually gives you 8 total days though... 4 admissions to theme parks and then 4 admissions to water parks and/or disney quest.

These tickets do have blackout days around major holidays.

The regular military discount ticket isn't much better than undercover tourist

You must have a military id (either spouse or member) and must be active duty or retired I believe.

For any other military-discounted tickets you would have to go to either Shades of Green at the WDW Resort or to your local MWR/ITT office and they may have to special order them for you.

If you're NOT near a military base (ITT/MWR/Ticket Office), you can go to the ticket office inside Shades of Green (across the road from the Polynesian) and purchase your Disney military tickets tax-free.

It's worth the time/effort...

If you are renting a car at the airport, you can make a quick stop at the Orlando Navy Exchange, right near the airport:

They have a commissary/PX, Package Store, and Ticket Office.

Can you use Disney gift cards to pay for the military salute tickets at the park ticket windows?

We're going for a short 4 day trip with my mom, who qualifies for the tickets (we have APs, so we just need one for her) but she has mobility issues and I'm trying to avoid making an extra stop at Shades of Green. Buying some Target gift cards at 5% off would make me feel a little better about paying the taxes at the ticket window!

You can use an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards for any purchase at a WDW ticket or Guest Relations window.

Yes, we were able to link our Military Salute tickets to our Magic Bands when we were there in August.
