Hi all! CM said that the military discount tix CAN indeed be purchased at the gate. My husband served in military for 6 years till his term was up, and has been inactive for 6 years, and He no longer carries the DOD ID, and so we went scouring through our house to look for it to purchase the tix, it is no where to be found. :( However obviously his state ID says Veteran on it. Does anyone know if that is acceptable as military ID for the gates at Disney for the military discount, or if it must be the actual DOD card? Thanks all!

yes you can buy at the gate
But
Stop wasting your time looking
He needs to be active or retired
Unfortunatly, It does not work for discharged, unless they changed the rules

Very correct.

As the others said, he is not eligible. Retired or active duty (or their spouses) only :-/

AH! OKAY, thanks! I was under the impression from the CM that he was eligible, appreciate the response before looking any further haha!

A veteran is retired from the military

-Former Navy

Technically, anyone who served is a veteran. (But that doesn't mean they are eligible for these tickets.)

- navy brat x2, wife to navy vet, DIL to navy vet, BIL to army vet... I guess you could say W's were a military family. :goodvibes:

We also found this out. My brother served in the Navy for 8 years, and then did not re-enlist. The CM told him you had to be active, or retired for this promotion. Sorry....
