We just returned from a lovely 2 week honeymoon in May because of the 2010 Military Discounts.

Here is my question: Am i right to assume that WDW military promotions will most always end in September (as they did in 2010) because with the MNSSHP and Christmas season kicking off. I believe that this is fair BUT i want to make sure its right.

I am wanting to plan a Holiday trip in 2011 but I dont wanna wait for military discounts that will never be available :) Let me know what you think.

They do NOT always end this early. We went last year right after Thanksgiving thru early December with my db who is retired Air Force. We still received the military room rate, military ticket prices and even MVMCP tickets at the Military rate. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We're also going back next year in early December and are hopeful of another offer. It helps tremendously!!

Congrats on getting married!! :flower3:

With disney anything is subject to change. There are no guarantees that there will even be another military salute discount next year. I would make plans assuming that there wont be any around the holidays. If that changes then you can always cancel the existing ressie and book with the military discount.

Shades of green will always be there so that is a huge discount. I don't feel the tickets are that big of a discount but i'm hoping for a 2011 special like they did this year.

I agree that w Disney, anything is possible.

But I disagree, I think the special military discount promotion for the past couple of years (not the normal military discount) have been a fantastic deal.

Saved me hundreds of dollars.

youll find the discount gets to be less and less every year the first year i recall it was 8 years ago hubby (active duty) got a free 7 day park hopper and water park ticket! and every other kind of ticket (anything you wanted was 50% off) and rooms (subject to avability) were 50% off too.

when we went last year he got a free 5 day ticket and mine was 150 for a 5 day park hopper with water park

this year they were 4 day tickets NO tickets for military for free and expire in september.

Now disney doesn't have to do any of this and all of it is appreciated! but the deal used to be AMAZING now it is exactly what a florida resident can get i believe? man i miss that free 7 day ticket and the 50% off any kind of ticket!
