Does anyone know if we can use the military discounts advertised for the hotels? At the moment it's 40%, which is better than the AP discount.

Cheryl, generally the military discounts are available only to members of the US forces. According to Mousesavers, the current 40% off discount is "valid for active or retired members of the US military, including the National Guard, Reservists and the US Coast Guard, with a valid military ID card. Dept of Defense (CIA, FBI, Secret Service) and Coalition Forces are excluded. Military ID required at check-in."

The only place where we found we got any benefits for being in the military was the 'Heroes' programme at Sea World/Busch Gardens where military personnel (including allied forces) and their families can get free entrance to one park for one day only.

Just wanted to second wilma-bride... I can confirm that the Disney Military discounts are definitely for active or retired members of the U.S. military - there is no work around on that where Disney are concerned.

Nope definatly No discount for Uk forces,we was gutted we couldnt get it,But they told us once we are posted over seas next yr then we will be affiliated with US forces since we will be on a US camp:woohoo:
You can get discounted Disney tickets at Shades of green though even though Uk forces cant stay there we still are ok to get any discounted tickets from them.

Seaworld and Bush gardens give 1 day free for the forces person and 3 dependents where doing seaworld with the kids this yr for Dh and the kids 1st time!
Also Universal give 10% i believe of tickets and 30% off Hotel:thumbsup2....

Db was in the RAF for 11 years. Do they have to still be in the forces to get the free visit? What proof do they need to see and do we have to buy from the U.S.?
