Military discount 1 or2bdrm BLT for April/May 2013?

Has anyone successfully booked this? I called tonight and they said only studios were available on the military rate for ALL of April and May 2013. I may have just missed the boat on booking it since the discount started last week, but I feel like there should have been at least one night in all of those 2 months with something other than a studio. Should I just call back and try another CM? He couldn't search for 2bdrm villa BLT military rate and then tell me the available dates. All he could do was take my dates, and check them, one week at a time. Seems like a weird reservations system to me... Would going through a travel agency make a difference?

I would definitely call back. If you get the same answer twice then it's probably true.....but getting it once doesn't make it fact LOL. Sadly sometimes CMs tell you what you want to hear, or tell you what they want you to hear.

I'm not familiar with military discounts but here is a link to Mousesavers information on the subject: Mousesavers. They mention a travel agency too.....you could check with them, maybe they have someone familiar with the booking procedures for military?

We tried to book blt with the military discount right after the release and nothing was available. They didn't tell me this but I assume because the resort is so popular they might not offer discounts there at all. I would book something else for now and keep checking back as your dates draw near. They may open up discounts if enough rooms go begging. We did this last year with bcv, nothing was available at first so we booked wilderness lodge then switched it to bcv a few months before our dates when something opened up.

Thank you for the encouraging reply. I have booked the studio at BLT with the military discount for my parents, and booked our 1 bedroom at BLT at rack rates for now. I am going to keep calling to see if we can add the military discount if rooms become available. One CM told me that there might be more rooms available at some point.
