Miles from Tomorrowland is a new show on Disney junior that my 6 yo girl loves!!
We have a trip coming up in April (our second trip :) and I'm hoping they might incorporate something from the show--maybe even some character meet and greets? Any rumors of something like that???

Haven't heard a thing. It's really early for that show, Disney doesn't usually commit much effort to something like this until it's clearly a big hit. As for by April, I feel pretty confident that ain't happening, sorry.

Oh well. She asked me to "Google it" and I figured this would be the place for any unofficial word out there:)

Thanks for the reply!!

Seriously. I can't believe people are asking about a meet and greet for a show that's only been on for a few weeks. (And you're not the first one to ask, OP. ;)) I will concede though that I was surprised to see that merchandise came out almost immediately - it definitely took longer than that for shows like Sofia the First and Sheriff Callie.

But there's really no way to know. I did my college program during the spring of 2005. During that time, June and Quincy were out doing meet and greets to promote Little Einsteins... that wouldn't actually air until October. They were promoting it really hard, though, and thought that getting the characters out to meet the kids would get them more excited about the show. The Beauty and the Beast stage show at DHS premiered the same day that Beauty and the Beast came out in theaters. I agree that they haven't done anything like that lately, but i could see them doing that for a show like Miles From Tomorrowland. First, it's a new show that isn't primarily geared towards just girls. Second, it's pretty clear that they are hoping to up the popularity of Peoplemover and Tomorrowland in general. I could see them doing major promotions in Tomorrowland for the show.

Based on how far in advance they started showing the commercials, and the fact that there is merchandise already available (I JUST started seeing Sheriff Callie stuff for sale in the last week or so, and that show's been on for what, a year?) it's very possible that they could be getting a character M&G together sooner rather than later. Maybe in the now-closed Tomorrowland Arcade?

I know my son would love to meet MERC!

My 4 year old LOVES this show too. I would doubt the characters would be coming anytime soon. Look how long it took for Doc and Sofia.

My little ones are asking for this too. And I sort of am as well. I think it would be a great addition to Tomorrowland. We've really enjoyed the show so far.

My daughter is to young to have an opinion, BUT I think this show is adorable and hope they add M&G!

I read where they do have Miles on the kid's menu at 50's Prime Time. It has an activity page. I don't know if there is much else, but he is getting representation. It's a cute show. Anyone notice that one ship was named the "Star-Jetter?" I like the idea that they work for the TTA.

My kids love this show. DS6 asks me just about every day if he'll get to meet Miles when we go (also in April) - I've been trying to keep expectations low, but he'd flip if they do pull something together quickly.

I think it's different because Miles is "from Tomorrowland" so I assumed he would be plugged there ASAP. My 3.5 year old son is obsessed with the show and tells everyone his name is Miles now and his big sis is "Fretta". Anyway we were there this week and they don't even have a single Miles thing for sale yet and we didn't see any mention of him. . .Couldn't they put up a cardboard cutout or something? I asked the gift shop guy and he said "maybe next month". They have it out at our local Disney store and I told DS he could get something in Tommowland at Disney because I assumed it would be out there too!

And. . that's "maybe next month" for merchandise for sale not an actual character. I understand there are lots of new shows that aren't popular but again he's from Tomorrowland and the MK needs more stuff for boys! Our local Disney store had adorable Miles costumes out so I can imagine people will start seeing some little Miles at the park soon.

Just a gut feeling that "Miles" will make an appearance in some shape or form faster than it took with Sofia or Doc--- a few reasons--- the show is basically geared towards boys---- something disneyworld is current lacking with all of the princess exposure--- also, there is a direct tie-in with both Epcot and MK that the other two shows did not have-

Also, you are going to see The live-action "Tomorrowland" movie getting a lot of exposure, ( being released in May). So there is that tie-in as well.

I have a feeling they are prepping miles to replace handy manny at H&V. My son is also obsessed with Miles and Merc and it kind of makes sense to have him somewhere with all the

Actually heard this as well--- (posting as we sit here watching "Miles")

For selfish reasons, I hope Manny stays until our visit. Anyone noticed how they've been running Manny a lot more on Djr? It wasn't on forever and now it's on often. We like Miles here too, so either would be good for my boys at Hollywood and Vine (love their food, too).

My DD4 loves Miles. We were at the Disney Store in Times Square yesterday they have a pretty large section of merchandise. We were just picking up a birthday present, but my daughter was excited and when we got home she asked if she could get next time!!

Where did the rest of my message go? LOL

It kind of makes sense with all the Parks related tie ins with the TTA. I also think that Miles seems to 'go' better with Sophia, Doc and Jake.
