Mike & Suzy's Honeymoon Photo Filled Food Adventure

:cool1:

Awesome reviews, keep them coming with pictures too....:surfweb:

Congratulations!! And good job with the desserts - we've found that anniversary buttons also bring forth much free, sugary meal-ending goodness at WDW ... sometimes it even results in free booze!!!

I've really enjoyed reading your report so far - it's been very entertaining. Drunkitude ... getting leid .. :lmao: :lmao:

Looking forward to more!

Excellent reviews - keep 'em coming. And belated Congrats on your nuptials :)

Hi there...great review so far. But a question for Mike and Suzy....where did you stay? :confused3 (I am thinking it was the Poly)

The one picture from the concierge lounge with the cupcakes and rice crispy treats has me baffled as to its location. We were just at the Poly CL last month (mid december) and I don't ever remember seeing that table set up anywhere?!? When we were there all they had was cookies, pretzels, goldfish and nuts set out for snacks.
Thanks

I love this report so far! subbing! a late Congrats Mike and Susie!

Great start! I totally agree about the luau. Having been to real luaus in Hawaii, and then seeing what Disney offers, I haven't bothered booking it. I mean, they could at least do the roasted pig. And the sweet taro rolls. Oh, I need to go back to Hawaii!!

Looking forward to reading more!!

Congratulations :goodvibes Loving the reports, those shirts are very cool. Looking forward to reading more.

Day 3: The Magic Kingdom

Mike and Suzy arrived at the Magic Kingdom before the park opened

because they had a reservation to eat breakfast at Cinderella’s Palace. It was a little bizarre to be at a theme park and have it be almost completely empty of people, but they did get a picture of just them and the castle, and how often does that happen?

Mike and Suzy waited in line and got their picture taken with Cinderella;

Then climbed the staircase (NO part of this Honeymoon must be undocumented!);

to attend the breakfast ball. The food . . . was nothing special, just standard breakfast fair. Mike even forgot to take a picture of it (Part of the Honeymoon is undocumented! Horrors! Shock! Alarm!). But people don’t go to character dinning for the food, do they? They mainly go for the princesses and there were plenty of those. First up was Snow White who asked Mike who his favorite princess was. He didn’t really have one so he thought it would be polite to say that Snow White was his favorite princess, but as soon as he started to answer Snow pointed at Suzy, so Mike quickly said that Suzy was his favorite princess, and she truly is.

Next was Belle;

Then Princess Aurora

And finally Jasmine:

If you're looking for great food, I wouldn't recommend the character dining, but it is a fun place to get photos with your favorite Disney characters.

Hi there...great review so far. But a question for Mike and Suzy....where did you stay? :confused3 (I am thinking it was the Poly)

We stayed at the Poly, but there are actually two different concierge rooms at two different buildings the Poly because the hotel is so big. The one pictured may be a different one from the one you went to.

Cheers,
Mike

Enjoying your food report. Next trip is adults only and keep doing the character meal debate and thinking that we probably won't like it that much. Probably choose other spots such as Coral Reef, Le Cellier or something.

Awaiting more.

Thanks MikeR for the answer to my question!! You must have been in the Tonga longhouse right? (The one with the suites)
We were in the Hawaii longhouse...and it is probably a good thing they didn't have those cupcakes or rice crispy treats or I would have never left!! I ate enough of the cookies to feed a small army!!!:rolleyes: There is something about the chocolate chip cookies at Disney...I couldn't get enough!!!:lovestruc
