Part 1:
Our Journey To The World- Our journey started on Thursday night as we took a red eye flight on Air Tran Airways. This was the 1st time either of us have flown Air Tran and basically we chose it because they had a really good deal on airfare from Vegas to Orlando as it was only $99 each way. Very good deal so we had to jump on it. Anyways our plane from Vegas to Atlanta took off ahead of schedule and also landed a good half hour before it was supposed to as we landed just shortly after 4AM. I didnt know but this is really an awkward time to land in Atlanta as nothing is open as far as eateries and also the restrooms are closed until 5AM! Yikes! The only thing that is open is the family restrooms. So after waiting we were finally able to use the restrooms. We got conflicting reports as to where what gate our flight to Orlando was gonna be boarding from. One screen said it was from the C gates and the other from the D gates, so after walking back a few times we finally asked and said it would be from the D gates. Our flight again took off on schedule and landed ahead of schedule in Orlando as we arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule. As we were nearing the landing I almost got tears in my eyes as it was my first trip back to where I used to call home for 9 years. I've been waiting for this trip for a long time and was excited to see it become a reality. My overall experience getting there on AirTran was pretty good. Its a no frills airline like SouthWest but at least your able to get your seats assigned ahead of schedule even if you have to pay $6 per seat. The flight attendants we had were pretty good as well, Ill have to go way back to remember where I actually got a whole can of soda and asked if I wanted extra bags of pretzels. Something you never see anymore. Ill give them thumbs up for that.
