So I have this cat who is gray and white named Kisses (not the cat in my avatar). I get up on the weekend and go walking through the house. I see Kisses in the living room. I call to him, and he doesn't move. So I call louder, he still doesn't move. I start to panic. Kisses is an older cat. OMG, what's wrong with Kisses!?! With tears brimming on the brink, I run to him and pick him up.

It's not Kisses. It's my Bugs Bunny slipper!!

I turn around to see my cat sitting on the bar stool beside me looking at me like I'm insane.

Guess I should put on my glasses as soon as I get out of bed from now on. :lmao:

:rotfl2:

I'm so glad I wasn't drinking anything while I read this. Thanks for the laugh, it sounds like something I would do, or have done if I could remember doing it.:laughing:

Well, as long as you didn't wet yourself laughing about it, you aren't that old!!!!:rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: SOunds like something I would do.

I have a black cat named Sammy - and I have had him for almost 12 years now and he is the best cat. Years ago, when I was living with my parents - and Sammy was there of course - I came home to see a dead black cat right in front of our driveway - obviously had been hit by a car. I FREAKED. Started to panic and stopped my car in the road and ran out there and picked up this dead cat - who was stiff as a board - and carried him to our yard - knowing all along it was Sammy, even though it was dark out. I am bawling. Crying over this poor dead kitty. I finally put him down and go inside the house, hysterical. And what do I see? Sammy sitting in the kitchen waiting for me. :lmao: So I ran to him and scooped him up and was bawling and kissing him all over like a mad woman and woke my mom up, who thought I was crazy. When I finally explained what happend, she felt really bad for me! And the poor kitty outside, but I can laugh about it today, because I was hugging this dead cat that wasnt even mine.

Oh, my!!:rotfl: I'm just glad little Kisses is OK...

My family likes to remind me of my embarrassing "bad eyesight" story. In 2007, before the Epcot wand/Mickey arm next to SE came down, DD and I went on a girls only trip to WDW. One morning, driving in to the parking lot at Epcot, I exclaimed at the people standing on the Spaceship Earth structure. I told DD how cool it was to see them cleaning the sphere!

DD, who was 8 at the time, looked at SE, looked at me, and said, "Mom, those are stars!" I thought there were actually CMs out on the top of the "big golf ball", scrubbing it down. Needless to say, when we got back home, I made an eye doctor appointment...

Our one cat is a tan and black striped tabby. This summer it was just about dusk and I was out in the kitchen emptying the dishwasher. I glance over at the sliding door and there is Riley sitting on our back patio steps looking in at me. Neither of my cats have ever been outside so I freak. My heart literally jumped in my throat and I was hyperventilating and trying to calm myself down so I could grab her without startling her. I all of a sudden hear this low growling sound and see Riley under the kitchen table in pounce mode ready to attack the instruder. Apparently one of the strays in the neighborhood is Riley's twin. My other cat Lilly, was also under the table calmly witnessing the whole thing. I think she was hoping Riley got out :lmao:

Thanks for the laugh OP! Just wanted to let you know you are not alone!

I was afraid to read your post as it went along. I was so thinking you were going to say it was a rat/skunk, etc... Since rats are my biggest fear in the world (yes, above hurricanes, tornadoes, snakes, etc), I'd have freaked out just reading about it. :lmao:

I'm so glad you were only yelling at your slipper. :rotfl2:

This reminds me of the Sears commercial for eyeglasses where the woman is holding open the door calling her cat in the house and a raccoon waddles in. For some reason it cracks me up every time I see it. :lmao:

I remember visiting my dad when I was a kid. We went over to my dad's wife's ex-husband's house for the day while X's elderly father was visiting. We were all outside doing something when the father comes running out of the house yelling that there was a bear on his bed. :scared1:

Of course someone goes to investigate...

It was a black bath robe laying on the bed over top of some pillows and blankets. :lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl2: Thanks for the laugh, OP!

I'm another one that needs to wear her glasses all the time, especially first thing in the morning. I can't tell you how many stray pieces of string or lint that I've had to "kill" because I was terrified that it might be a scorpion!:scared1:
