Midwest: Meijer/Disney Gift Card Deal

Hey there.

For those of you who live in the Midwest and shop regularly at Meijer, they have a deal running with Disney gift cards until September 18. Buy one Disney gift card loaded with at least $25, and you get a $5 coupon good on your next Meijer shopping trip.

This was great for us because:

• We're going on a Disney cruise, so putting our savings onto gift cards was a no-brainer
• We do our weekly grocery shopping at Meijer, so we will be certain to use the coupons within the 2 weeks they are valid

It's not really a deal if you don't normally shop at Meijer, but it will save us a few dollars that we can add to our Disney cruise kitty!

Just saw this promotion on the Meijer website and I was wondering if anyone knows if the gift cards are good for the Disney restaurants??? The DH and I are going in October and I would definitely snag a bunch of these to get the $5 coupons but ONLY if we can use them for our food. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Yes gift cards can be used anywhere on property as long as they have a credit card machine (i.e. some kiosks)

we are heading down in a couple of weeks with our DD4 and of course she's going to want everything she sees so I'm thinking these gift cards are great.
#1 we can save $5 at meijer for each one we buy
#2 we will use the gift card for her souvie money and teach her when $$ gone no more stuff.

Thanks! I did some research too and they seem to be the same cards you buy directly from Disney and sounds like you can use them most places. Looking forward to using them to pay for my meals - like we're on the dining plan (which we don't buy because it is actually a waste of money for us).
