Anyone from the midwest, specifically Ann Arbor? We have an opportunity to move there. Does anyone fly from there, and if so, which airlines/routes? Is it convenient to Disney for you? Also wondering about schools and neighborhoods. Obviously not a done deal, but any advice much appreciated!

Don't know about the specific neighborhoods but you can fly right out of Detroit Metro airport. Not too far away at all. Delta has a hub there and Southwest, Spirit, American, Frontier, and others all fly out of there too.

Ann Arborite here... We fly out of DTW as it is the closest airport (30 minutes). Delta has a hub there and I rarely price other airlines since Delta has flights leaving every two hours. Some of our friends will fly Spirit to MCO, but I'm not willing to sacrifice comfort just to save a buck, and then have to pay for our carry-ons, etc. We've also had some friends fly out of Flint Airport. Flights can be a bit cheaper and they are a family of 7, so it's worth the extra drive for them, but I personally wouldn't do it.

Ann Arbor is a great college town with pretty good schools and lots of arts, culture, entertainment, sports, restaurants, and diversity! There are some great nearby communities with good schools such as Dexter, Chelsea, and Saline. They have very good schools, but may not be as strong when it comes to diversity, if that is important to you.

Ellie, would you mind if I asked you for advice outside of disboards? The homes are very *not* inexpensive, and school system and proximity to the medical center is very important to us (should we take the offer). Thx!!
