Middle of May 2006

My husband and I will be in WDW on our last "pre-child trip" from May 19 thhrough the 24, and I was wondering how crowded it will be. We were there in September of last year and we were basically able to walk onto every ride. I know it's not going to be like that, but I was curious if we were still going to miss the big summer crowds...

The crowds should be 'moderate' by Disney standards. Not as busy as they will be a month from then!

May is a wonderful time of year to visit. I hesitate to choose a favourite month, but if I were forced, May might be it.

As stated before it will probably be a "moderate" size crowd. 2 yrs ago I went from the May 22-28 and the crowds weren't too bad. The closer we got to Memorial Day Weekend it got hotter and more crowded. Since you are leaving in the middle of the week you should be good. I don't think it will be like Sept. though.

I think you will be facing moderate levels of attendance - it is a great time to travel (we have been there a couple of times during that time of year)

Standby for on Space Mtn sometimes as low as 15 minutes in the afternoon

We went in May, 2004 and never had to wait for any ride except the Rapids in AK. I even walked right onto Space Mt! Of course, we wisely used Fast Passes on the most popular rides and that helped a great deal.

The only park that truly felt crowded was AK and I think that's because it's somewhat smaller than the other parks and, with the same amount of people, it felt more crowded.

Anyway, we had such a great time and such good weather and good park experiences that we're going back this year in May too.

I'm going at around that same time too...I'm glad since schools aren't usually out until June on the east coast anyway :-D
