I'm getting one week rentals that are way too HIGH. Using mousesavers coupons!

is it too early or high season? I get these sort of low rates and then the tax is added and ! Not so low

We went through hotwire and got $150 for 6/10-6/17. That's a midsized car with all the added fees. Did it a couple of months ago so haven't looked lately.

Rental Car prices have been insane this year, to me so much so then previous years. You can spend hours looking for the best deal. Not sure if you have ever heard of carrentalsavers.com, but it is a pretty good site and lists each company's deals. It has worked well for me several times over. As well it is good to check "last minute" deals as the dates get closer, although Orlando is a tough one to find these. Last year on our Phoenix and LA rentals I saved money just a week before we left with last minute specials.

Good Luck!

Just keep watching. Rates were really good a week or so ago but seem to have gone back up this past week. Currently I have a rental from Alamo for 6/8-617 at $172 all in and National for $202 all in. (I'll make a decision as it gets closer) I can't duplicate either rate this week.

I hope as it gets closer rates will go back down. I know the May car rental thread had some smokin' hot deals so I'm hopeful for June. There is a June car rental thread you may want to watch.

I grabbed a rate late last week with Alamo using the AMEX corp. id & Costco 30.00 coupon, for ten days it was 195 all in for a full size. Just keep watching and look for the June thread here on the board....

yes I used contract code 7015135 and a $30 coupon. I'll have to go back and look for the coupon code that gave me $30 off though. I forget where I got that one.

Ok coupon for $30 that goes past June 4th is AD2338FDF. I just double checked and I can't get my rate (it was much better on may 5th) but I can get a premium (my reservation is for a midsize) for $228 all in. Not too bad for a premium for 9+ days.

How big of a car do you need? I found good minvan rates from Budget using BCD X474200 and coupon MUGZ029 for $30 off. For june 10-17 for $298 with 30 back. Both are public codes nothing required to show at checkin as best i know. Best of luck
