Mid-March weather

Our spring break is mid-March. We are in SE Texas (Houston). We normally get a cold snap around spring break each year even though it was hot on Christmas Day.
The spring break cold snap means we dress in (maybe) long sleeve shirts, or at least jeans. And it's no sleeveless shirts and shorts for sure.

I'm calculating the clothes we will need for our trip since I won't do laundry there. Is it warm enough for me to pack shorts and short-sleeved and sleeveless shirts for all of us, or do I need to bring a few pairs of jeans and a jacket just in case?
We went a few years ago during Christmas break, and it was mostly jeans weather, but mild. A few days we wore shorts. But I do remember it being warmer as we traveled further south into Florida.
Just wanting to check to see how mid-March is at WDW.

I remember a day at Epcot last year, mid-March. We live in Ottawa, Ontario, and I've noticed that Ontario March Break tends to line up with the schools in Texas, so it would be the same time of year you're thinking of.

In Ottawa we get cold weather in winter, but it's actually pretty hot in summer. Not Florida-or-Texas-in-summer kind of hot, but lower to mid nineties is not unusual. So with that context in mind, it was quite a warm day. I was comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt, and I get cold easily. So I'd guess it was at least 80, and sunny. We were headed back to the resort and there was one teenager in line for the bus when we got there. He was wearing a heavy sweatshirt with shorts. I can't remember if we asked outright or if he was just responding to our incredulous glances, but he explained that he was from Texas. Apparently it was cold by his standards.

So I guess it depends on what you're used to! We've had excellent luck with weather at that time of year, usually highs in the mid seventies to mid eighties, and lots of sun. But it can occasionally be cooler. A few years ago we flew in for a cruise, and it was near freezing the night we landed. The next day was cool too, at least on the coast. We met other Canadians on the cruise who had just come from Disney, and mentioned they needed winter coats and hats for a couple of days in the parks. I don't think that's typical, but it can happen.

The last day of our trip last March was pretty cool too. It was 10C (about 50F) in the morning, and cloudy with a cool breeze. We wore the warmest clothes we had - long pants and light jackets - and were still a bit cold. It didn't get above 60 that day.

We pack mostly shorts and t-shirts, but always have at least one pair of long pants and either a jacket or a heavy sweater. I usually have a light weight cardigan too, for cool evenings or overzealous air-conditioning.

Thank you so much for replying. That was incredibly helpful. I will pack a few pairs of pants and jackets.

I live in S FL & go up to the parks often. I always recommend bringing a mixture of clothes for hot/cold weather b/c it can be really hot during the day & then at night, even though it's in the mid-low 60's at times, it feels colder due to the humidity (especially if you're staying at a resort that's on a lake). When I went this past May, that is how it felt.

Definitley give yourself options just in case.

I'm in Texas, too, and we've gone over Texas' spring break for the past few years. We've had days with highs in the upper 80's, and days with highs in the upper 50's - sometimes in the same week. You have to be prepared for both warm and cool weather, so you'll have to pack a variety of clothes. Fortunately, the weather is usually really nice, but it's not uncommon to have a couple of days that care either warmer or cooler than normal at that time of year.

We are going Mid March as well! Planning on taking shorts & tanks AND jeans and light weight jacket or sweatshirt. With Florida..you just never know.

We'll be there end of Feb-first week of March. I've planned lighter layers for my little girls, DH will wear shorts (no matter what :) ) and I'll pack shorts and jeans, with jackets for all of us. I'm expecting some cooler temps since I'll be a week or so earlier than you, but hoping for warmer weather. We are from S. Louisiana.
