Mid April Ressie?

Just found out that my DD High School band will be going to WDW in April. Question do you think I will have any problems getting a ressie during the week of 4/9/05 to 4/17/09. Everything is a go ,but they are having problems finding buses to go during this period and also the School board needs to sign off on it. In the past I wouldn't think the board would be a problem, but there are a couple of new members on the board. Lately they have been taking a "why can't they wait until summer to take these kind of trips" attitude. So, I am a little nervous to make a ressie until after they sign off on it. Don't know when they will rule on it either. Do you think I will have a probelm getting a ressie if I wait a little while to book? We bought an add-on over at SSR and I think I would like to get a studio there. But will go anywhere if nothing available at SSR.

No. I don't think you will have a problem getting a room that week - Easter is 3/27, and that is the only major problem that I could see with an April reservation.

Not sure why you would hesitate to make the reservation now, though. Is there some problem making the reservation now and cancelling later if need be? As long as you cancel 31 or more days ahead of arrival, your points would go right back into your account. You could bank them, subject to your deadlines. If you are worried about the deadline for banking, you could cancel and bank just ahead of the deadline.

P.S. We had same problem with School Board for my daughter's orchestra trip. Made me and the other parents just livid as there was absolutely no problem approving trips for athletic events, especially the varsity boys events. After parents and students packed the school board meeting and asked why music events were less important than athletic ones, the "concerns" evaporated. Go figure!

I forgot to mention that I will have to borrow for this trip since we used this years points for a cruise. So, I don't want to borrow until I know 100% everything is a go.

I know what you mean about the Sports trips. The Band Boosters are planning on packing the board meeting when this comes up. Keeping my fingers crossed.
