Mickey's Very Merry Christmas...should we go?

I have a question, if you only go to MK for the christmas party and have not visited any other parks that day, does it count towards your hopper pass? Do you need both tickets to get in or just the special ticket? I hope that makes sense - lol.

As far as I know, you only need your Christmas party ticket.

DH and I just returned last week. We went to our first Christmas Party before we left. This is something I would definitely do again, and our kids weren't even with us! If you're not parade/special event people, then the crowds will be negligible. You will definitely be able to walk on almost every attraction in the park without more than a 10 minute wait. The night we were there the only attraction that we saw with more than a 15 minute wait was Snow White's Scary Adventure :confused3 We rode BTM, SplashM, Buzz and SpaceM multiple times with absolutely NO waiting in line!! It was terrific!

To me the "free" hot chocolate and cookies, while good, were no big deal. The parade was cute, but the FIREWORKS were AWESOME!! By far and away the absolute best fireworks display I have ever seen in my life! They were so many, all over the park, it was hard to know exactly where to look as you might miss something even more spectacular than what you were looking at. After they were over, both DH and I decided that the fireworks alone were worth the admission price.

You'll never know if it is something your family will enjoy unless you try it!

We went last year and loved it!! the crowds were low and we were able to ride lots of rides as walk ons - multiple times!!:cool1: DH who is mr tight-wad even said he would do it again it a heartbeat. and we didn't even eat any of the cookies or hot choc. not sure why??? but we would def do it again. we loved the parade and snow... it was just so festive!!:santa:

We went and will never do it again, but at least we tried it.

It was not worth it for us either. We went last year. It was VERY crowded. It was the first night that is probably why. But, I would say that packed is not too strong a word. The parade was cute, though. Love the wooden soldiers. I am glad I tried it once.

We went to MVMCP last year. We had such a great time that my DH wanted to return to Disney this year so we could go again. He really enjoyed everything about it. I have a feeling this will be a "Not to be missed" in the future for this couple.

We loved it! Like you, we couldn't decide if we should spend the extra $. We did and it was so much fun! Besides the great shows and much shorter lines, it was the simple things like Dumbo wearing his Santa hat. Too cute!
~Hello:

I've been lurking and can't find the answer to my question!

Is it really worth it to book MVMC? :santa: I mean, there are parades and fireworks and it looks like we can even see snow at MGM.

I asked my neighbor and she said, "Well you get hot cocoa and cookies"...

That didn't convince my husband to spend the extra $$.

He told me to investigate and see if we'd really be missing out if we didn't go.

Advice please!!!
TIA

I go every year with my Mom and Dad (in their 60s). This year we took one of my nieces. I have been alone as well. I wouldn't trade the December trip for anything! For all the reasons mentioned by others, it it magical. People are in good moods, special pins, my niece and my mom rode Space Mountain 6 times in a 30 minute span! MK is my favorite park and perhaps that is why it holds extra special magic. In my opinion the special tickets are well worth the price - but I would not go as far as saying that everyone would or should think the same.

Michelle

Be happy that we will not be there!! We have purchased tickets for MVMCP almost every year since 1999 and most of the time, it rains. We were there 11/27 and of course, it rained. I think everyone should see it at least once. :santa:
