Hello everyone!

So this event is a separate entry fee? Maybe this can be better because they can limit the amount of people attending. ::MinnieMo

What do you think of the event? What events are usually included?

If anyone has pictures, please post them!

We're planning on going the first day of the event on Nov 8th. Some online calendars say it's a recommended park to visit that day, but I don't know. Do you think it will be crowded on the first day?

Maybe everyone will be busy with the Marathon that day.

It's a separate ticket, not included in any type of pass. There is a limit to the number of tickets sold, some do sellout. They do not release the actual limit number but it's guessed to be around 25,000. Even though the official start is 7:00pm, you can enter after 4:00pm with just the party ticket.

I've always enjoyed the parade and the shows.

Party days are definitely less crowded during the day before the party. People without hoppers don't want to waste a day when there is no fireworks or MSEP and closes at 7:00pm if you don't have a party ticket.

It is a separate ticket to attend it.If you have never gone it is worth a trip to see what it is all about.I don't care for it( I prefer the Halloween party.I used to love the Xmas one too till they eliminated alot of the things I loved about it ).As for crowds, yes they sell less tix than a regular park day, but when you have ALL of those people there for the same special holiday things, it can be quite busy.During a regular park day the crowds are dispersed pretty evenly throughout the park.On party nights Main st is packed at parade time and firework times.
The crowd calendars are accurate that it is a low crowd day during regular park hours. The party is not included in that projection.MK is generally great to visit on party days since most people are not willing to waste a full days admission on a park that is closing at 7p to the general public and doesn't have nighttime parade or fireworks for the general public.

Well, you took just about every word right out of my mouth!!! I still go to the Christmas party but only every other year. I, too, miss a lot of the 'old stuff' that has been done away with. And I, too, prefer the Halloween party. May try to do that in Sept...we'll see how it goes.

In my opinion- The parade alone was worth the price of admissions... it is AMAZING:wave2:

for us the parties are all about the Parade and the Character meet and greets. Literally I think in all of the parties we've attended (Pirate and Princess, Christmas and 2 Halloween) we've only ridden one ride!

We loved the Christmas party and I'm hoping we're going to squeeze in a mid Nov trip and a party. The cookies and cocoa aren't all that 'wow' as I recall just FYI

As everyone said, it is an extra price to get into the event.
I personally think it was worth it, I found it was enjoyable for the whole family. They do castle lighting (which is where they project images or things onto the castle) which is rather cool, special holiday wishes, an amazing parade (amazing!), they make it snow on main street, and there are other different shows they do. When I went two years ago, there was a tomorrowland show with stitch that was funny.
I think it's at least worth checking out!

For me it's not worth it. If you are already going to be at WDW and visiting the MK as you normally would, I wouldn't bother going.

What do you think of the event?

When they first started doing them, it seemed reasonably priced and there were several unique perks. It seemed as though they sold a lot fewer tickets then, too. For about $30, you got souvenir buttons, free family photos, good cookies, tasty hot chocolate, shows, parade, special fireworks, and unique character costumes in an uncrowded environment...

Now, not so much for twice as much.

It seems that popularity (and profitability) killed the cat.

I haven't been to MVMCP (yet! We're going this year) but if it's anything like the Halloween party, the parade is NOT to be missed. Best parade I've ever seen. We only rode maybe 1 ride during the MNSSHP -- we were busy doing the special characters, fireworks, parade :)

I definitely don't plan on riding any rides during MVMCP unless we have time or the kids beg to ride one. We will do MK another day for rides..

One of the major reasons for us loving the Halloween party vs Christmas. Is that there are relatively few things to see for Halloween .None of the other parks decorate or do anything. So unless you do the Halloween party there isn't much. For Christmas there are decorations and things in the other parks that are included in your park ticket ( osborne lights for example-it snows there too ).The Castle lighting is also not an exclusive party thing. They do that every night regardless of the party or not.So add this into the fact that they sell WAY more tickets than they used to, did away with some of the perks and better shows while increasing party ticket prices makes it less likely we will do the Christmas party ever again. If prices continue to climb and they start eliminating Halloween things, we will skip that too
