Oh, added: In addition, I was saddened to read all the threads about the party pins being sold out weeks back...but luckily the Frontierland trading post still had some...they were the ones with Goofey, but that was better than nothing...and he is a favorite of ours anyway.

The pins that sold out weeks ago were the limited editions and the passholder pins. The regular ornament pins (with the different characters) are still available at the Emporium and the Frontierland Trading Post.

I'm starting to plan our November 2015 trip and we are going to the party. Here's my question: should I buy party tickets that are linked to my magic bands? How do you enter the party without using one of your days? Or do you keep your party tickets separate so that one of your park days is not used up?


Also, when are dates usually announced? Would you recommend attending on a weekday or a weekend?

Party dates are announced in early April and go on sale May 1st.

Definitely avoid weekends. And by that I mean avoid any night locals have to get up for work and school the next day.

For those of you attending the party tonight, if you need a last minute parade spot, try the Firehouse at MK. We did that both nights we were there -- the 14th and the 16th - and we were close enough for a couple of the characters to interact with my daughter in her stroller. Thus strategy worked even better for MSEP last night. Unfortunately, we are back at home today.

Where is the Firehouse located? I can't picture it!

We were there Dec 2. The wait times were not bad. We waited maybe 20 minutes (give or take) for Jack Skellington and Scrooge, around 30 for the 7 Dwarfs. We went as soon as the party started. I had heard the wait times for these 3 were really long. Then it rained, so character meets were off, but we had already met all the princesses. Rain is a good time to ride! Bummer, though; Tink didn't fly. We always have a great time at the parties!

Thanks for replying to the posters with your awesome knowledge of the party I'll agree with you that rain will not halt the fun outside of minor things unless it's a complete downpour. However, Florida sesson in my opinion seems to not have too much heavy rain in the wintering months unless I'm mistaken

The Halloween party dates haven't been announced, it's just that the September calendar has been released, and since the MK closes at 7:00 on party dates, it's pretty safe to assume that those dates will be party dates. (The exception is September 11th and 12th, which are closing early for Night of Joy.) Since last year's MVMCP started on November 7th, November 6th is a pretty good guess for when it will start this year.
